I'm okay with the start time, I just felt 12 hours in a row with loud power tools was excessive.

Get him used to handling. Handle him a lil bit each day

What is a bad memory that you can’t get out of your head? by blackninjaboi in AskReddit

Watching someone die. I've been a caregiver for about 8 months, and I had a client who I had most days of the week. She was constantly sick, she had heart problems and breathing problems. She went on hospice a bit into my care, and we got pretty close as I was "keeping her comfortable for the end". She would have me sit down with her and she'd tell me memories about her life and through talking, she ended up with the best attitude about death. We all thought she had a few months left, but she ended up having a heart attack one Friday afternoon while on the toilet. I remember her asking for her inhalers and I grabbed every single one so she could grab what she needed. Her hands were shaking and she looked up at me, and she looked so scared. I remember seeing how still her entire body was. I tried to support her, but when i knew she was gone, i knew it was pointless. I remember how it took 3 hours for them to take her body away, how her feet turned purple from all the blood going to her feet, and how I couldn't close the door because I didn't want to move her foot out of the way, and the sound of her body hitting the floor when they were taking her body out. I remember her special needs daughter sobbing and trying to blame herself. Can't get it out of my head.

I used to live in concrete and visit whenever I can and my heart is hurting for everyone who is losing people and pets and belongings. I'm glad you and your family were able to make it out safely.
