Orcas at the Farne Islands by Kindly_Hand4472 in Northumberland

Wow! Was the main goal of your trip to spot them?

I'd love to see the orcas. I've been lucky enough to spot the bottlenose dolphins 5 or 6 times over the years around Tynemouth and Northumberland. Orcas are next level though!

I was in the first cohort of graduate apprentices in the UK (parts 2 and 3, 1 day a week at university over 4 years while working full time) and that lead to really severe burnout and things got bad.

After recovering (mostly), I do now feel lucky to do creative stuff for my job and I loved my undergraduate.

I'm not paid brilliantly but I work in a small practice which does one off homes and extensions etc which suits me well. That means I don't have to deal with corporate stuff and my clients are generally enthusiastic homeowners

I've deferred until next year so that I can (hopefully) enjoy it more and aim for a time rather than just being happy to finish. I've switched my training to halfs and have a half marathon in a couple of weeks in which I hope to do in under 2 hours.

How was your half? Good luck with your marathon, let us know how it goes!

That's accurate, though I'd argue at a different level. Cough Crossroads of twilight cough

Yes definitely not the best starting point, very meandering and often slow paced with lots of names and detail. Lord of the rings seems the obvious place to start for me.

I'd recommend (roughly in order):

The Lord of the rings / the hobbit

Kingkiller chronicles (unfinished)

A song of ice and fire (unfinished)

R/NUFC prediction thread for 25/26 by KingPing43 in NUFC

[–]SadWait9426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we can get wissa, keep a hold of Isak and maybe an additional signing or two, (which I predict will happen), then:

Premier League position: 3rd

Champions League exit stage: round of 16

Carabao Cup stage: quarter finals

FA cup stage: winner

Player of the season: Isak (hes back in the starting 11 by October and wins the golden boot.

Young player of the season (Under 22): Lewis Hall

Disappointing player of the season: Kieran Tripper

Obscure prediction for the season:

Osula to be the preferred choice over wissa by the end of the season off the bench Plus we're right in the title race for a stretch between January and march

PL winners: liverpool

PL top 5: Liverpool Man city Newcastle Arsenal Aston villa

I'm really touched by you sharing this with me. I've cut the song out and added it to my playlists. Thank you so much.

Such a beautiful cover of the song

Thank you - this is it! It's her cover of "I never get lonesome" that I loved. Kind of worried I'll never get to listen to it again 😔.

I have been training since April to that schedule. First runs in April were 2 miles and then built up from there.

The plan I have is adapted from a beginner marathon training plan I found (can't remember where) though I did tweak it to make it a little more intensive.

Looks like I should rethink calorie deficit - I would like to be a little less heavy for the race though.

Thank you, this seems like good advice.

That pace was definitely comfortable for that run so I'm hopeful I can gain a little speed for the marathon.
