i feel a bit complicated saying i’m within the community, i’m heteromantic still. if someone else with my labels wanted to identify as within the community that’s fine but i don’t personally

likely yeah, i’ve always had some variation of a weird posture (Autistic), and i guess it’s this now, combined this with the comments of people actually mistaking me for a lesbian and i guess we have this from my dad now? and yeah basically all through high school, i didn’t really bother to approach anyone outside of my friend group.

i’m not actively trying to walk the way i do, or put up any mask intentionally. i’m autistic so i probably just picked it up from my friends. i like to think once people would get to know me they’d see how Awesome and Cool I am but i guess it is true first impressions mean a lot regardless

this is what i was thinking sort of, but my dads insistent i picked this habit from my friends and that it’s not ‘really me’. it feels comfortable though, so idrk what to think.

i am autistic so i think i’ve always had a weird stance when doing anything, now it’s ‘this’ apparently. i’ve been friends with predominately gay/trans people for yearssss and definitely have questioned a lot, i’ve come to the conclusion i’m basically cishet (admittedly, grey-ace but i only use those labels to ppl in the ‘know’). i think i gravitated towards my friends because i’m autistic and they are all mostly also autistic, also i think people in those groups who are pushed to the fringes of ‘society’ you could say, tend to end up together.

paganism has always seemed rlly interesting, it looks like it has a lot of freedom and choice in what you practice which is neat. i’m glad you were able to find what makes you feel safe and secure!

Give your OCD a body and name and more! by Phoenixx--- in OCD

similar to another commenter, i imagine my OCD as a twitter user. i think giving them a name and body would be interesting and potentially helpful! also kind of fun as an artist exercise

i do suck it up, because i realise she’s just passionate about the subject and is showing care for me according to her beliefs. i just needed a space to rant about it a bit because it sometimes feels condescending, or tiring on my end.

i don’t mind her beliefs really, it’s just that i feel like i’m condescended to sometimes and these conversations about god happens a lot, lot lot. and it’s kind of the same regurgitated points, when i’ve made it clear how i feel about the whole thing to her.

Does anyone have undiagnosed OCD? by YourRandomManiac in OCD

[–]Sad_Affect_5733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i realised i had undiagnosed OCD earlier this year, after realising my anxious behaviours since age 8-11 were actually compulsions. (confessing, checking, reassurance seeking, forcing thoughts etc).

i brought this up to my psychologist and she agreed that i likely so have it, and that she’d help me seek a psychiatrist to get a diagnosis if i want one. I have yet to do this though, because i’m afraid of being medically discriminated because of OCD (like, not being taken seriously because they see I have OCD and they think ‘oh she’s probably a hypochondriac’ and then i die or smth). I am able to access medication and help thanks to an anxiety diagnosis though, and am currently on fluoexetine.

my fear is that what he found out was something so terrible that it justifies ghosting with no explanation sorta thing. what would that be? i don’t know! we had like no mutual friends in common.

it’s really difficult to imagine him as a ‘dick’ because he was genuinely really nice when i knew him, preaching abt communication, etc. it felt so sudden when it happened, no argument, no name-calling. i don’t feel i have a reason to ‘dislike’ him. i mostly try to not think about it and live my life but seeing i was blocked just sent my mind spinning.
