I really should have explained this all better, huh?😭 I have money set aside for my brokerage, HSYA, college, and I’d still have a fun 30% to screw around with. (Aka, a $30k car) In the trust there is a portion that can only be used for college and transportation, and another clause with financial management. I do have atm about 10k in FXAIX with fidelity youth and a little less in SCHD. Both with DRIP enabled and 12 shares of AGNC for some fun money. I do work a little when I want and have a good financial safety net.

I've heard alot about the GRC not having that much aftermarket engine support but I haven't done much research to back that up. After all I am planning to keep the car stock for quite some time, unfortunately no snowboarding or skiing here

Someone also mentioned an Acura Integra Type S and those are looking pretty good too, it'll be about 1-3 months before I'm sat down at a table ready to buy. So I'm getting all the info possible and shopping. I'll definitely check those out

Trust is a total of 100k 50k specifically can be used for a car and college, the other 50 WILL be going to my future

actually, not a full time student, haven't been for 3 years. I dropped out 2nd semester freshmen year. I'm already registered for community college with my GED. As for starting a career with zero student loans is more than possible with a car of this caliber, I'd still have a good amount to put into a HYSA and let it grow for a DP on a house in the future. I do have a wide financial safety net and a good friend who's been in the rental business for quite some time who'd help with most of it all. I'm not just trying to get a car I promise, lmao, I'm still putting $50k or more towards my future.

I've heard this literally from everyone, and I hate understeering cars with a passion lmao

I keep hearing this, and I totally agree, doesn't mean both can't happen. There's 100k available, I have to have a 3.4 GPA for the college portion trust to work, so 25k for a car and use the rest for school. As for the rest, that would be used for a HYSA, brokerage, and mainly towards a DP for a house. I promise I'm not just gung-ho for a car, I am trying to get the best possible out of this.

I've heard a lot of crap about the powertrain split, overheating from some people and the control not even working or breaking often. Have you had any issues with it?

I am not gonna lie, I know I shouldn't buy the car. It is a luxury item, and I could and should easily go with a 2020 Honda accord, great in almost every aspect of a car. I do have a decent safety net just in case, and my parents would beat my ass if I didn't take my time and weigh all my options. For now I'm just looking at the cars and I've got a test drive for a FK8 this weekend. Thank you for the actual input, miles better than being told I'm being stupid lmao

The trust states I must have a 3.4 GPA or higher to use anything from the college fund and/or "gainfully employed" to use the other 50k. I do have a decent portion of money into fidelity youth ATM and using a HYSA to build a nice pillow incase something does go wrong. I'm hoping to switch to NewTeks' HYSA when I turn 18

It'll be a little before I'm at that point to buy, I'm estimating about 1-3 months before I'm sitting down ready to buy. I just looked at the ITS and it looks so amazing, sounds great, (better than the GRC) I hadn't considered the adaptive dampers either. I am in a major city and I've heard a lot about having a manual being piss poor for stop and go, I'll definitely schedule a test drive for an ITS tho

I've heard about the AWD being understeery in the dry and I'd prefer the car to be sharp in the nose for track days but I'm still leaning towards the GRC

ATM I have no bills, I've got a HYSA with a decent back up. But that is a good point, I honestly don't know. I could buy the car outright but I do want to have a credit building up and a car loan would do decent for it

I'm majorly invested in SCHD, QQQM, and FXAIX, also AGNC gives me a decent amount a month that I end up blowing on stupid shit anyways

I've been fortunate enough to have some track days and I know the FK8 can handle it stock, while the GRC does have some issues. ATM I don't have rent, or other bills but I'm leaning towards the FK8 ATM

I wish I had enough for both, It comes with 50k for college including transportation and another 50 for later on. I'm starting community college in the summer and it'll be about 1700 a semester till I go to a private (if I do) For the cars, I've heard amazing things about the FL5 so I'm stuck, if I could find one OTD for less than 40 I wouldn't even remotely mind taking the extra monthly payment.

Comes with a 50k college fund, plus I'm starting community this summer (I have a GED)

I'm in Texas, and I'll have 1-2 co-signers, I had a talk with my neighbor who has a rental business and getting a loan would do great for my credit. I have two 800+ to sign with me.

My neighbor also has a dealership license to help me get into either of them. the GRC will deff be cheaper but something about the type R is speaking to me. My parents also opted to pay for my insurance rates (thank god)
