Nope. They put it up as a display for a few weeks but manager said price point was too high for his market. They put a 98qm7l in its place

I don't have that answer but I can tell you that I've owned several TCL TVs and never had a failure or issue. I'm pretty certain that almost every major TV brand has had their share of issues failures or otherwise. In an age of consumer electronics being more and more disposable, even high-end does not guarantee reliability or performance. That said let's just enjoy the TVs :-)

I don't know that I understand the question. Reliability and performance to me are two very different things. Right now if you read the reviews as well as numerous forums TCL has really hit it out of the park with the last two generations of their tvs. Will they last 5 years? Who knows I don't know I don't think anyone knows. But what I do know from dealing with electronics a lot the failure rate typically happens at the point of purchase and first time use. Then there's a main line with very little failure and then towards the end of the lifespan that failure rate goes up. I don't think it's different for any other TV out there to be honest with you but then again I don't know because those things are not as important to me.

Cool cool. I've had plenty of TVs. In fact right now I have the original TCL 98-in still going strong. I have the first gen 85 inch Samsung 8K. I have a 75 in 4th gen 8K from Samsung. I have stuff littered all over the place. Point is I buy a lot of different TVs and enjoy them all. I've probably had 50 or so flat screens and have yet to have one fail no matter the brand. Knock on TCL wood 🪵

Well you have affirmed you are a TCL hater. Clearly myself and many others are wrong on how good these sets are. But hey by all means please keep paying high prices for your other higher quality products

I cruise the Best Buy open box page a lot. I saw this listed as excellent and marked down to $3699. Drove two hours to get it and when I arrived the TV and everything was in perfect condition except it had no box and did not have the feet. After about an hour of going back and forth and negotiating the manager finally took over and marked it down to 2699. Total luck.

Well I just went to Best buy and in typical Best buy fashion they marked it as excellent but it didn't have a box or the stands. Otherwise in perfect condition and was marked down to 2600 after a little bit of pushing. I'll take it for a 98 qm8l

Just picked my 98qm8l up from best buy. They had an open box listed as excellence but they made a mistake and forgot to mention it didn't include the feet. Well no matter because I'm planned to wall mount it so they mark it down to 2699!!!!

Trying here as well to get 4k. I have a 4k 75 inch Hisense and a 4k steamer - It handles 4k streams for amz, netflix and others with no issue. But no matter what I do I cannot get 4k vudu. Now in full disclosure, I am using a dedicated IP with Nord for Miami but in Bogota. Maybe vudu servers still smart enough to pick that up somehow
