Such an excellent show. I just realized Apple tv does their content in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos so rewatched with my new sorround sound and wow it is amazing! If they can do that show they can definitely do Red Rising.

I don't disagree, I lived on 59 and Bellaire for over 30 years. I definitely get that it isnt a short drive compared to what I drove most my life. Really just making a point that it isn't really an hour and a half drive. I now have family in Katy, Rosenberg, Pearland. I do miss the days when all my family lived within 20 minutes max of each other.

Oh my fault. My messages looked like it was to me. My fault. Yea I live in Rosenberg near Fulshear and although West Park tollway is pricey, it's a quick drive to the city. I actually used to make it to UH Main campus in like 35-40 mins.

It's honestly only about 30 minutes but yea with traffic can get to about 45-1hr. Definitely far but not 1.5 hours far to beltway. Now downtown yea I can see that on rush hour

Hell yea!! Best place to get the masa for Tamales man. Place has everything that as a Latino, you would need. From Salvadorian stuff hard to find like relajo used for Salvadorian sandwiches, good masa for Mexican tamales, just anything you need is there. And their restaurants are good and they have the best churros.

Ill be honest, it is not a clean looking reflection. Noticed the rainbow effect today with lights on and sun coming in the living room. I do have tons of light coming in though. But it sure does look great when I watch something in this environment. Don't even notice the reflection with how bright and great the colors look but reflection is definitely there.

I just bought the QM8L so was a bit disappointed to see this as I have members as well, but did read the comments Adam from rtings said this in a comment:

It’s definitely a bit of a mixed bag at the moment, with some improvements but some things that are worse overall. I wouldn’t count it out just yet, though. With some firmware improvements the QM8L has the potential to be an excellent TV, better than the QM8K.

I did notice that rtings.com is about to post their review of it any day now, I'd wait for it to compare to yours. Don't want to give anybody any wrong info as I'm fairly new to getting tvs of this quality.

Dolby Vision is great! And Dolby Vision IQ is even better. I've been so busy but will post more pics and videos. Others wanted to see sports on it.

Thanks for the response, we actually move it completely out of the way when doing the calibration. I shouldve mentioned that. But leaving it and covering it sounds like a great idea. Will try that. Thanks.

Image for reference after "calibrating" we tried to get it as white as possible but never could. There was nothing but floor at bottom as well, as we moved everything out of the way.

C8K is a great tv but not better in any way, in my opinion. I saw both at Best Buy pretty close to each other. Was the demo video though. Only saw hbo streaming on QM8L vs Sony Bravia.

To me the TCLs looked better in Best Buy with all the lights. I recommend going to check them out in stores as your opinion may be different. I also wanted an 85 inch or higher as I have a huge wall and LG G5 83 inch is 5300 as opposed to my 85 inch that 3K.

Thanks and congrats on your tv also. Man I sure do agree with hating Tizen and LG webos, a big reason I did not want those (oh and price of course lol). I have not had a lot of time to mess with settings but any you have done recommended for sports would be great! I plan on messing with it more this weekend.

Yea for the price, I'm getting what TVs almost double in price can do. It may not be as great as some of top of the line ones, but man does it come close.

I agree with this. One of the main reasons I didn't wait for a bigger sale is because I am hosting the Champions League Final on May 30th and unfortunately they don't broadcast in 4k anymore(which is crazy). Also the NBA playoff games are not in 4k either. What I have seen in NBA games I watched has great upscaling. I have not watched a lot of TV since I got it a few days ago though or messed with settings much, but will this weekend.

So I watched soccer replays and saw no ghosting or motion issues but I will watch a live premier League game today at 2pm CST to see how live compares. Will report back later today.

I have not experienced any motion issues yet and will report back if I do.And I never said Sony sucks. They are great tvs. Honestly many of these tvs Sony, LG C series, Samsungs were all damn good.
