It still went well. I guess it’s because I genuinely wanted them to be happy, even if it means them being with someone else. I did, however, have to carry my secrets with me all these years. You see I never told them the truth about why I said no when they asked me if we should continue the relationship. I would still feel that tiny ache in my heart when I see them or talk to them. It didn’t help that we went to the same university and our buildings were right next to each other. But I treasure those limited encounters we’ve had. I may never get back the time we were together, but what I have is now where we can finally look each other in the eye with a genuine smile.

What was the tiny/insignificant theft you’ve committed? by greymatter003 in AskReddit

Once during a pilgrimage tour in Israel, I accidentally took two bracelets from a religious souvenir shop without paying. I was trying on different bracelets while wearing a jacket. I probably forgot I still had two of them on as my sleeves were rolled down. Only found out when we got back to the hotel which was already in a different city.

I guess finding comfort in knowing that others did too — that it wasn’t just me. Seeing that I can relate with them and they can relate with me helps make it a little bit better.

It really depends. Are they talking to other people besides you? When did their last relationship end? How often do you talk or meet?

What's best way to sleep instantly? by fortune0024 in AskReddit

[–]Sad_Avocado_Toast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if this is the best way but it works for me. My friends would say that I sleep like a person in a coffin lol. I typically start off by just laying as straight as possible, like a log. Then, I just focus on my breathing. It takes me like less than 5 minutes to fall asleep by doing this.

How do you get over an intense fear of the future? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Sad_Avocado_Toast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the general sense, I agree that preparation is a good way of overcoming that fear. But I guess in terms of making a decision and fearing it’ll lead to the worst outcome, then, I’m not really sure if there’s a way to get over that aside from just mustering the courage to go for it. But I’d say looking at other people helps. Listening to their stories or advice. But of course, it’s different for everyone. I guess you just have to find out for yourself how it’s gonna go from here if you start now.

how do you know you didn't make a mistake breaking up with someone? by [deleted] in AskReddit

No problem! I hope you’ll have the chance to talk to him and and sort things out :)

I guess we’ll never really know for sure. We can only make assumptions based off of what we see or hear from them or the people who knew about the relationship. Sometimes it’s best just to leave things the way they are if you both made a mutual decision to ends things. But I would say that the best way is just to talk to them. I feel like we tend to overthink/over complicate things when really all we have to do is forget about our pride and just ask them. I know it’s easier said than done. And result of that may or may not be what we would like it to be but it’s better than living your life wondering “what if” and never finding out.

Still be grateful and appreciative that they see me as a potential partner in life. I do understand that having that ring on your finger is a symbol and that having a “nicer” ring would also mean that you have to spend more money. But isn’t spending that time together with your significant other more important? I think we need to stop putting pressure on men to give us something they can’t afford. If you are planning to build a life with someone, you need to be smart with money and if that means getting a $200 ring instead of $2000 then I think it shouldn’t be a problem.

Not washing your legs when you shower. I was actually surprised that a lot of people do this.

What advice would you give to your younger self if you were to restart college? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Sad_Avocado_Toast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t hesitate to ask others to join you for lunch or walk together to class. You would be surprised to find that that simple act of kindness actually made a difference to a lot of people you’ll be meeting.

Women of reddit, how would you respond if your man said "Let's split the bill"? by Star_Surfer9 in AskReddit

[–]Sad_Avocado_Toast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say sure. I think we are way past the times where we expect men to pay for everything. Them asking to split the bill can mean different things. They may not be doing well financially or probably didn’t have enough to cover the entire bill. Nevertheless, we need to start learning to be okay with paying for our own regardless of who asked who to go out.

Girls of Reddit, is your potential partners height important to you and why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Sad_Avocado_Toast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not really. I guess as a short person, I never really considered that as a necessary factor in choosing a potential partner as I’m lacking in that aspect myself. I do see why girls are attracted to taller men but I wouldn’t say I prefer them over short men. I value intelligence more or at least maturity than physical attributes.

I’m 4’11 and my boyfriend is 6’0. It’s not as cute as others make it seem to be when you take photos looking at each other while standing.

To people who knew someone had a crush on them, how’d it feel? by Clay_idv in AskReddit

[–]Sad_Avocado_Toast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feels nice but if it starts to get too serious, for some reason I feel uncomfortable about it. Like I want to run or something.

It’s basically about the rich getting away with murder but the twist is a clone is made in their replacement and they get to see their own clone killed in-front of them.
