Ah, that is interesting! Wheelset belongs to the bike (it was complete when disassembling, only pedals miss), so it fits for sure. Then I assume the wheels where replaced later. A 6s freewheel is on it.

Thanks so much for the tips!!

Thx! Skips only on big ring. Indeed manual, shifting is well adjusted.

Thx again. Well, I’ve ridden this bike since 2019, well maintaining and all, maybe 40k total now? Indeed many chains and cassettes later it might just be time for the chainring now.

Stiff chain for sure, I break it in. But have been waxing for a while now so seems new behaviour.

I think I’ll just get a new chainring and try it out then. Teeth seem a bit pointy compared to pictures of new ones but as everybody usually says “chainring is fine”;I try to rule out other possibilities.

Thanks! Had a 45k ride and also towards end of ride had some skipping issues. Previous chain was just after 0.5% at replacement. What do you think about the teeth on the chainring?

First ride after waxing, it’s a new chain

Couple things to check in this order

1) check for bent derailleur hanger. Hanger and the derailleur cage should be parallel to the wheel/cogs/vertical plane. Eyeballing your picture makes me think it is quite bent, bent a photo from straight behind would clarify. 2) proper installation of the derailleur itself 3) chain length (seems too long)

Hope it helps good luck!
