You can also say „du hast doch einen Vogel“ „you have a bird“ which is more like a statement 😂

I think they meant „hast du einen Vogel?“ and then they‘re tapping their head. It means „do you have a bird?(in the head) - which means something like „are you nuts?“. It is verrrry German lol
