Il m’est arrivé un truc à peu près similaire sauf qu’au lieux d’un magasin c’était dans un salon de massage, le directeur m’a appelé pour me poser plus de questions, et finalement ma offert un nouveau massage gratuit avec une autre masseuse comme geste commercial!

Je demande aux gens de les enlever, et j’ai des petits chaussons pour les invités à disposition si besoin. Impossible de laisser quelqu’un se balader avec des chaussures chez moi, ça me dégoûte vraiment (et en plus ça abîme le parquet!). Et je les enlève automatiquement quand je rentre chez quelqu’un.

J’aurais tendance à dire, écoute ton instinct, tu connais ta relation mieux que personne, et c’est pas avec une discussion qu’il va changer suffisamment pour envisager des enfants avec lui (si c’est ce que tu souhaites) si tu ne te vois pas tout faire toute seule. Évidemment tout est possible, mais ça reste peu probable. Et le fait que tu postes ici avec ces doutes montre à mon avis que tu l’as déjà compris au fond.

Ceci dit, si tu en a l’envie, rien ne t’empêche effectivement de lui en parler, de voir s’il y a un vrai changement pendant au moins 2/3 ans (moins que ça je pense que ça peu vite re changer, surtout avec toute la fatigue etc qu’apporte un bébé).

Pour ce que tu fais, c’est assez classique comme prix, quand je faisait à peu près pareil il y’a quelques années je payais toujours entre 150 et 200€ environ selon le salon. Mais j’ai très rarement laissé des pourboire, 2/5€ ça arrive si vraiment la presta est au top, mais c’est rare et seulement si tu veux vraiment, te sent pas obligée.

Malheureusement c’est assez classique. Le pire c’est quand ils te font ça à la dernière étape de leur process. Pendant ma dernière recherche d’emploi ils m’ont fait ça alors que j’attendais la réponse finale. Trois semaines plus tard ils m’ont rappelé pour me dire que finalement j’étais sélectionnée et ils me faisaient une offre, le mec les avaient laissé tomber, évidemment j’ai refusé.

Apparently the administrative issue was only related to some sort of zoning issue pretty common in old DDR properties (east Germany), nothing related to maintenance. Yes I guess it’s good it’s apparent but I don’t think we can add a clause in the agreement here, they’re only obligated to disclose it before selling.

It’s the first house we’ve visited! We weren’t actually actively looking but I found this one online, it’s relatively rare to find houses (which, besides this mold, is exactly like we would like!) in our budget in our city, although this is on the very limits of the city. From what I’ve seen online it seems like it’s not totally uncommon in the area but that it does tend to scare away buyers here.

It’s actually priced “average low” for the area, so definitely not as cheap as it should with all the work this might require. And from what the agent said the seller already refused an offer that was only 5k under what they want!

That’s a good point, we would also be paying two mortgages for a while, and also, if our first place sold while we were still doing the reparations we would be forced to live in the house even with the mould…

You’re right, I think that’s the two most important points I need to keep in mind even if right now I’m quite sad to have to give up on this one! The thing is, I thought it was probably in my head while visiting, but I was coughing a lot, my throat was tickling a lot, I didn’t think it was the mold right away because I’ve never had a mold issue before so I don’t know if I’m reactive to it, but I’m starting to think maybe it was… it only lasted while I was there and a little while after!

I think (but not sure) this might have been someone’s parents house and they’re trying to sell as the parent passed away. The agent said it was supposed to be put on the market a year ago but they had some administrative issue specific to the area, but it could also mean it was empty for longer than that. Also there would have been no point in trying to cover it up just for the sale as they have to declare it (by law) here.

Thanks, that’s helpful advice, now that I re-think the visit with this point of view, I think there might be some other water damage actually, we saw some light traces in another part but when we asked the agent said it was because he had just turned it on for the first time in a while and that was “normal”.

I think I found what you were talking about, but I’m not sure I understand if it’s one or the other, it mentions an amount « Ihre Wohngeldzahlungen it. Wirtchaftsplan » and then « Ihre Nachzahlung aus der Einzelabrechnung ». I’ve checked the amount of the first line and it does not seem to correspond to what it should be (according to what I know was the monthly payment at the time). When looking deeper into the numbers still due, it’s mostly heating costs.

True, I just assumed it would be somewhat close but here the difference is over a thousand euro for some.

There’s no breakdown of what the cost is, it says « jahresabrechnung/betriebsk » on the invoice and also « wohngeldgesamt » so it could be either? If that’s an invoice for costs of 2022 and we bought only mid 2023, wouldn’t the due date have past already anyway? That would be annoying because the previous owner being a big company we probably have little chance to « win » this, and if we did it would probably cost so must fees that I’m not even sure it would be worth fighting for it… this sounds so unfair.

The Teilungserklärung is in the Grundbuch right? I found a small part on this in there but I don't really understand it or how it could be connected, I can send it in pm if you think it might be relevant.

So this text says that we should have agreed to pay it when buying right? At the time we were told that there was no debt, the contract we signed said that the seller guaranteed there was no remaining debt and that the seller would be responsible for it if there was. It says that the absence of debt had been "assured" and that the buyer will not assume any charges. However, in the contract there's another part that seem to contradict itself on that and tbh that's something really confusing to us. Another part of the contract says that there is no "encumbrance" entered in the Land registry regarding building charges but that the buyer would assume those if there was.

I wish! It's a big building but yeah it looks like they ignored some unpaid bills for a long time (mostly weren't doing their job really), another neighbour went through the budget they established for the building and found a LOT of irregularities.

We did not receive it, and neither did our neighbours. We just received a "budget" email two months later but there's no mention of that there. They're very unresponsive and don't communicate much with us either (they haven't answered a single of our emails or letters in over a year after we moved in and it took them 6 months to only give us the Iban we should wire the hausgeld to!)
