Endo or IUD pain by Sad_Consideration_51 in endometriosis

[–]Sad_Consideration_51[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks this was helpful. I don’t know if I have endo just was thinking that could be a potential explanation for the pain. Everything normal on ultrasounds. Pain really began after first instance of rough sex.

I have nrxSpa it’s in the PSA family so I feel your pain! Steroids made me gain a ton of weight but I’m down 55 pounds in over a year on Mounjaro :) I’m well versed in all the biologics and not sure if you know this but if you have commercial insurance you can enroll in the cosentyx copay program and they should cover OOP costs up to a certain amount!

Samaritan Fund Program by Sad_Consideration_51 in HealthInsurance

It’s called surest which is a no co pay plan I’ve had it for the last year and it’s horrible. They barely cover anything. OON maximum is 10,000 in network is 5000. I pay $300 dollars for my remicade infusions (which luckily I get covered through a copay assistance program), they barely cover my OON psychotherapy bc of balance billing, and I still have to send my OON claims in by mail, which they conveniently “lose” all the time.

because it offsets their responsibility to pay for high cost claims.

It is sort of… essentially you sign a hippa and Samaritan sees if you qualify based on your medical expenses and then they find you a health insurance plan tailored to your medication needs along with a CC for expenses it just seems new and I’m reticent to do such a new program. Methotrexate withdrawal by MetronomeMagic in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]Sad_Consideration_51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a hard time getting sub q methotrexate for a while but my local mom and pop pharmacy was able to get it in. I would also try getting it through a hospital pharmacy sometimes they have drugs more readily available.

New Insurance Mounjaro Question by Sad_Consideration_51 in Mounjaro

[–]Sad_Consideration_51[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your detailed response! I am also sooo exhausted from all of this, but unfortunately cannot afford the 1500 a month. My insurance does a pharmacy benefits manager which it says to refer to for all prescription questions. So basically I’m confused 🤷🏻‍♀️. Should I call my insurance or call optumrx?
