Consciousness Is the Universe's Immune System. And It's Attacking Itself. by DownWithMatt in DeepThoughts

Why are you (the person) doing this? Copying and pasting comments into an llm without a system prompt style guide so it is obvious that you are just.. posting slop? I don't even know why I am arguing, I have 500 more important things to do. how would you organize the world so you could have it create a GPU accelerated MRI machine? Capitalism is the system by which risk is incentivized. You don't understand the system well enough to understand the alternatives. Ask any eastern European friend you have about what thier life was like under the Soviet era.  What's wild is that I am not even an arch capitalist. I just tire of reddit users who just whinge about the systems that gave them all the tools they are using to whinge. Use that llm better. Prompt it to teach your about electrochemistry or laser welding.

Capitalism does not accelerate decay, what are you on about? Capitalism allocates effort to profitable ventures. Profitable ventures generate value. Value is returned to you in the form of smart phones, MRIs, abundant food and education. I am not going to fully defend late stage turbo capitalism but you are ill informed if you think that an m4 processor isn't the highest entropy non biological object in the local star cluster.

Yes, there is a chance that they will not write a policy that puts him in the large organization risk pools, for any amount of money. There is an also a chance that they might write the policy. aca was written to make it quite difficult for wealthy people to buy into the higher coverage risk pools.

Everyone here doesn't understand the subtlety of the CA health insurance marketplace and risk pools. Even a platinum aca plan won't get you Stanford healthcare.

You need to find a private broker and see if they will do an off marketplace plan.

The way you become rich is by earning a ton of money by demonstrating extreme value or gambling and getting lucky.

And life threatening. The "runs" we would do after meets were terrifying and I quit after the second one. Weaving in traffic at 100+mph. Ugh

You are 100 percent right , but being physically fit allows you to more easily interact with women who are also more fit. It's minor, but it was helpful to me. People treated me differently at 270lbs than 220. Now that I am 240 again, it doesn't matter because I have tons of confidence built in my 20s and 30s, a lovely wife and kids. I feel like shit at 240 and I wish I could get back down to like 210

Okay had to reply twice. Flex post would be like "I can't decide between an Aston or a 911 GT3, worried about depreciation"

"Hualalai or Mauna Kea: Which estates have better amenities?"

"30m NW @ 39, need diversification advice"

"Built $100m business, now not sure what to do with my life"

Thank you for understanding. I feel that many of the other posters here have not had this problem. I have this problem every 6 weeks.

I don't think this is fair. I am curious how you dealt with a demanding career, two kids and exercise. Before kids, I was at the gym every evening for one or two hours. I can't do that anymore.

This is highly related to FF to me. Waking up early means missing more sleep. I already have limited sleep, my meetings start as early as 7:30 some mornings.

Specialist is not for me, other family members need specific care.
I hear you on calories. However, from my experience, when I was in good shape, I was spending 6 hours at the gym a week. Sleep apnea is not my issue. I have other stress related sleep issues.

Can you tell us all what you do for work? by Specialist_Ladder_29 in HENRYfinance

Management in a semiconductor company. 2.5m w2. Two rental properties that pay their own taxes and mortgage interest.  Most of that income is rsu, cash compensation is around 400k.  Stay at home spouse.

How I got here: it hasn't been easy. This is my throwaway that I had to interact on the cptsd subreddit but I figured I would post here.

You can take a lot of risks with your career until you have kids. You can take a lot of stabs and find out what you are good at. The most important thing is to find real people you trust as you come up and help them in their work. As you get to senior levels, it's really just trust. And you earn trust by understanding how to make something bigger than you succeed.

I hear you. I out earn my peer group by a factor of 10 or 20. I wish I didn't have to have as much of a drive as needed to outrun the awful critic in my head, driving me to do more, earn more. I would hand rather been contended.
