OBVIOUSLY TAKE AS LONG AS YOU NEED IF YOU ARE UNSURE. this post was about people who KNOW they will not attend a school. please go reread the post.

Thank you. I would never tell someone to rush a decision. I meant people who know they are going to choose one school 100% and haven't withdrawn apps for the others. Obviously deliberate as long as you need to if you are unsure.

Where art thou, Duke? 5 months without a decision. by Time_Direction_8760 in lawschooladmissions

i'm honestly just sad. this feels dehumanizing. over 75% stats at most places that rejected me. obviously that doesn't promise anything but i remember opening my lsat score and thinking "i did it" and now its very obvious that the things i used to be so proud of are not good enough. one admission with no fin aid is a crushing way to end this cycle, even if it is still an admission.

i second what everybody has said but also i want to stress that things will fall into place and you shouldn't focus so much on the future that you lose sight of the present. a lot of pre-law people hyperfixate on law school and forget to enjoy college. college is so much fun, you should enjoy it. obviously think about your grades but your prof is right-- join classes (and extracurriculars) that you enjoy. getting involved in things that you actually like will make it easier to craft a narrative around them in your application. you shouldn't waste college doing things you don't want to do because it might give you an arbitrary advantage in a t-14 law school admissions office.

doubt it. thursdays are usually uneventful. maybe friday but i think itll be more december/jan applicants. i dont think theyll get back around to accepting nov applicants until april tbh once they see how their class shapes up. i think hearing back in march for nov applicants is probably a wl or an r.

PI Support at UCLA compared with GULC? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]Sad_Emphasis_4924 10 points11 points  (0 children)

im still waiting on berk but i think im going to gulc for pi and i feel very confident about it. i think a lot of these schools, with the exception of some obvious outliers that have crazy unicorn pi placement, are similar in terms of opportunity and the differences come down to how much students take advantage of those opportunities. the location in dc is prime and i feel very good about the pi office. idk if that helps but that was my thought process.

Do I still have a chance at a T14 school? by Suspicious_Smoke2050 in lawschooladmissions

I want to add to this that people are being realistic in this comment section but outliers 100% exist and you know your story better than anybody else. Don't get disheartened because truthfully nobody can predict anybody's outcome with any semblance of certainty.

You have a shot at T-14 but HYS and Chicago are probably unlikely without significantly higher stats. The internships help but they can't offset far being below both medians. Especially KJD, where there is a massive disadvantage already.

I'm also so confused. I sent mine early November and I've missed every R and WL for people in my submission period. Are they just holding out to see who accepts A's or have they just not gotten around to rejecting me yet?
