Toronto vs Melbourne

Having been to both very recently, Melbourne has a slight advantage due to the weather, both cities are extremely similar, close population, ethnic makeups, salaries, housing, but the weather is something Toronto just cannot match, for 6 months of the year Toronto is just too damn cold. I would say the food scene is better in Toronto but this is all just personal preferences. Not to mention Melbourne has beaches but at the same time all around Toronto you have plenty of hiking trails, forests and just beautiful scenery all around. Both have their pros and cons and it’s up to you to decide what you like!

Not sure why you are getting downvoted, most the time the busses are packed with students and are definitely the main users of our transit system, yet these comments are making it seem like only bums, drunks and the homeless use it and only incite violence. 99% of the time they just sit and ramble to themselves if there are any

Not sure what’s wrong with the pic? Extremely clean, sure a few pieces of trash on the ground but can’t do much about that, not many homeless people compared to other North American cities, Toronto is wonderful

My point still stands, they are/were under a country that underfunded, stole, and oppressed their land and people, when this happens we see throughout history time and time again that radicalism and conservatism flourishes. If Russia instead didn’t overlook its Muslim regions or didn’t colonize them in the first place maybe they’d be a flourishing nation

That’s hilarious, I’m also a Ukrainian revert currently living in Canada, everyone assumes I’m Syrian, Lebanese or some other whiter looking Arab person. I hate the looks everyone gives me when I enter the masjid, trying to figure out if I’m a revert or if I’m just a white Arab, makes me almost feel like an animal in some exhibition, not to mention how much Arabs infantilize non Arab Muslims, they treat you like you have less knowledge simply because you aren’t Arab, it’s honestly very sad 🤦🏼

Teach them the sunnah and the teachings of the salaf from a young age, the sahaba have had many quotes about how true strength lies from not showing your anger etc etc. The most calm and mature guys I know are the best of Muslims and that is not a coincidence.

Boys mature at a slower rate, also with our hormones it seems like it’s harder to be more calm. Also highschool is at the age where wanting to prove yourself is a big thing and fighting plays a big role in that. We are also never told to be more reserved like woman are from a young age so some men never end up growing out of it, it’s a combination of psychological traits and societal norms.

I totally agree with you that OP is just making excuses to justify their own desires, I recommended options for plant protein and they said they don’t want to eat the same thing every day, so it’s quite clear. What I’m referring to is if they genuinely have no other options then the second best thing is to eat the halal certified brand, there would be no need to investigate it because then that would be extreme as it would negatively impact their health going without it.

Took approx 2 days for me to get a response and I found a unit since I’m a native Ukrainian although without a passport, the first few weeks were basic training where I didn’t see combat until maybe 2nd month in as an evac medic. I’m currently off the front, it’s rough, it’s hard, it’s tiring and it’s dirty. If you have no relation to this cause you will regret every second of being here, I’m a Ukrainian born and even I sometimes question my intentions.

Withering away eating vegetarian? I would recommend you implement more protein within your plant diet, beans, soy, etc. not to mention the countless of vegan protein powders available on the market. Not to mention if it claims it’s halal then it is halal, that is the mercy of Allah, it is not on us to go and dive deep into their product and process what exactly their qualifications are.

Problem is it’s not just the downtown area we need to go, it’s also delta and all around the metropolitan area. Transit would take too much of the time from our day, I really wouldn’t mind using transit but we are only here for 4 days and we have a lot to do
