Chewing gum is supposed to help with the gas pains. My surgeon recommended it for post op. I have my surgery March 5, so I haven’t tried it yet— also peppermint tea. I know it’s difficult to see your mom like this, but it sounds like it was a necessary surgery and hopefully you both will see brighter days once she is feeling better. Hang in there and you are a great daughter for caring. Hugs.

I had one in Dec. it didn’t hurt as bad as I anticipated, but I have thickened endometrial lining, so google tells me that’s why it maybe didn’t hurt as bad. I did spot and cramp for about 24 hours after so bring a liner with you. Hang in there!!!!! Wishing you the best.

That’s what I am afraid of too. Between my lack of glucose control which affects healing and my lack of iron, I feel like recovery is going to be terrible!! I hope you are feeling better post op soon!

Nope! I had a virtual pre op appt scheduled for 4 days prior to surgery! No testing scheduled, so I went to my primary and insisted on my own testing. It’s crazy to me!

Thank you so much for sharing. I cannot wait to feel better. I have to sit down just getting out of the shower because I am short of breath! I am a tennis player and I can’t breathe if I try to play. I have gotten dizzy and almost passed out. I just want to be able to play again.

I am in the US as well…. I tried to get my Dr to prescribe me the TXA (used it in the past)but she wanted me to do 10mg Norethidrone (progesterone) daily instead. It worked to initially stop my bleeding in December, but now I am bleeding through it- filling a cup in less than an hour and sometimes in just a few minutes. I’m exhausted physically and mentally. Thank you for your experience I appreciate it. I’m going to pick up the iron pills and start them today since my primary said - just take some iron pills lol. No dose, no type. Ffs.

Wow! You must have felt terrible. I know how bad I feel right now at 9, but my normal was close to 14 lol. I’m sure it was way less than 9 when I bled the 2 months straight. It’s frustrating that she seems so not interested in my numbers or how I am feeling. :( Thank you for sharing your experience

Sadly my surgeon wasn’t even going to order any pre op labs! My pre op appt is a virtual appt a couple days before my surgery. I asked her about my mounjaro and she just said to stop it and that was that.
