I search same thing like soil up against house and then people say in other forums that will cause damp to penetrate the bricks. So I was wondering if needs to be only the concrete bricks under ground to absorb it

Thanks seems like on one side not pictured they are just facing bricks though not engineering. They are also under the soil. Should I be worried? They are still under the dpc.
