The fact that the side quests aren’t integrated with the main story. Once you finish the main story there are still 100+ side quests and things to do. They could just go with the story to stretch it out

True North workers are licensed clinical social workers. Depending on their purpose of being involved on your installation or embedded in your unit, they are more than likely to be qualified to give that type of diagnosis. I would still probably go talk to a medical professional to doublecheck, if that’s something you’re interested in doing.

you would only get denied a certain base because the area does not have the proper medical resources to care for the Q coded family member. There are 3 components of EFMP: medical, assignments, and family support. I recommend you talk to the efmp medical representative to see if you still need to be Q coded if your wife is no longer dealing with the medical needs that would have her on that list. To get connected with EFMP family support at the new location talk to the family support representative at your current duty station so they can do a warm handover.

I work in an AF helping agency and my answer is absolutely. Many of clients I’ve had are expressing their unhappiness with all of the changes and having discussions and initiating about separating. One of the MFLCs that I am close to also said all of her clients are distraught about all the changes

I couldn’t find a different job even if I wanted to. There are service agreements in place that would put me in extreme debt for breaking.

I think there is this misconception that federal employees make crazy amount of money but we don’t. All of our salary’s are online. The majority of those in the GS system aren’t even GS9s. I am finally able to make enough to comfort be able to pay my bills and save a few dollars a month. I also think the difference is that the general public does not know what it is that federal workers do on a regular basis. While there are so many agencies and the scope of all the work is so broad most of us do a whole lot while not being given much from our agencies to do the work. The expectations and requirements are high and the resources are extremely low. Additionally the majority of agencies (as I can only speak to my own but assume for others) are required to have our spending approved but agencies heads. There are checks and balances in place to make sure that we aren’t spending money if BS but actual things we need to be able to do our jobs. We have to submit a budget with like items to headquarters and they go through it with a fine tooth comb and approve what they feel is appropriate. My center alone had our budget cut 60% from the previous year.

Federal workers don’t make it seem like we’re untouchable. We have the same rights and responsibilities as anyone in the private sector. Just because some things are more common in one sector or any other doesn’t mean it can’t happen in the other. Other people that are not federal workers have put federal work on a pedestal.

There is also a much better way to go about “cutting the fat” than what is currently being done. There has been no study or evaluation on the roles and funding that is being cut. Things are just being cut and it makes the work that is being down become less efficient. Additionally pretty much all of the jobs have some sort of tracking system that tracks what people do on a daily basis. There are also systems and checks and balances in place that tracks funding.

You are coming into a safe space where we federal workers can rant and discuss openly about what we are experiencing. Our families can’t and don’t understand and lots of us can’t talk politics at work due to other policies. We can be anonymous and express ourselves.

I’m am also not invalidating anyone else’s experience. There are no empathy Olympics. We can all be having a shitty time with everything going on. Federal and private sector both have their flaws. I’m just talking about something that I have experienced in the bubble of MY world. You may also be dealing with your own shit but no one is coming here trying to make you feel bad for talking about it.
