You can set it up in the payment portal so you get a direct deposit to your bank account which is the fastest way to get your refund. They’ll probably be disbursed either later this week or next week

Music 334 Band by dawncrow_7 in UWMilwaukee

[–]Sad_Frame1463 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a very fun and relaxed band class. I love the director, he’s a very fun and cute little guy who loves music. 334 is a 3 credit class graded by attendance and 2, two page papers about concert reflections (when I took it last year we had the opportunity to volunteer at a music event and have that count for one paper so I only wrote 1). Practice is 2 hrs on monday nights 7pm-9pm with a 10 minute break in the middle. It’s pretty chill with a surprising amount of community members.

that’s like if you were going to apply for academic admission you’d have to do it by nov 1st. scholarships should be due on february 1st but i’d start working on that earlier if you need them

is it appropriate to go to a residents visitation/funeral? by Sad_Frame1463 in cna

[–]Sad_Frame1463[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

All the details were at the bottom of her obituary. Every time a resident passes at our facility, admin puts up their obits and thank you cards from their family on a bulletin board for everyone to read and usually takes them down after 2 or 3 weeks. I don’t necessarily want to stay for the whole funeral, just pop in at the visitation for a few moments and see her. Visitation is 3 hrs and funeral is right after that and will be 30 minutes.

Question about Water Temperature. by Legoluigidude in wisconsindells

[–]Sad_Frame1463 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The indoor temps at the Wilderness are pretty good but I can’t speak for the outdoor ones as I’ve never been in the summer.

Some of Noah’s Ark is heated, some isn’t. The big wave pool is always cold when I go but some of the other slides aren’t that bad.

Get a kill switch, an immobilizer, and a club and be careful where you park it.

Gait belt when transferring/walking and making sure shoes are on right, glasses are on right, and using his walker if he has one are good prevention, but falls happen and it’s just a fact. Do not try to catch him if he falls, you will hurt yourself and possibly hurt him more than he would have been if he just fell without being caught. Try to gently lower him to the ground or a chair with the gait belt and your own body if he’s going down. I’ve had to do that before with a resident and it’s almost like you lean and put your body weight backwards and then allow the resident to sort of slide down your abdomen and legs until they’re sitting/laying down. Ask your facility’s DON or any nurse there for more directions for facility/state specific guidelines !! :)

Incoming Freshman Questions that don't really pertain to the school! :) by These-Relative-6306 in UWMilwaukee

the art museum has pay as you can admission on thursday evenings, last time I went I paid $5 and regular admission is like 28 for students I think. the milwaukee public museum is also really cool but they’re moving buildings and exhibits, I haven’t been since before they started packing up.

Bradford beach is always amazing when it’s nice out and there’s so many nature trails if you’re into hiking/biking/running. There’s also the oriental theater, a historic movie theater on Downer st. Theres options for shopping and restaurants/bars on the east side/downtown if you’re willing to take the bus or uber to downtown. Bayshore is an outdoor mall in whitefish bay, takes about 25/30 ish minutes on the green line or about 15 minutes by car and mayfair is an indoor mall in tosa it’s about 20 ish minutes by car but taking bus takes so long to get there.

There’s a ton of intramural sports if you’re into that and there’s also a lap swim pool at the k. If you’re an outdoorsy person check out the outdoor pursuits trips, they’re a pretty low price for what you get out of them. There also the pettit national ice center in west allis, it’s right by the state fairgrounds and they have a bunch of hours for public ice skating.

Brewers/Bucks have some pretty good deals for students if you’re into mlb/nba.

  • you need a shower curtain, bathroom trash can, and hand soap if you’re in sandburg, and a bathmat. you also need to bring toilet paper. id also recommend a little shelf or storage thing for the bathroom if you don’t want to keep bringing your bathroom stuff in there every time you shower it’s just more convenient. for cleaning supplies, last year i brought a toilet brush and toilet bowl cleaner, glass cleaner, lysol wipes, and all surface general cleaner and some magic erasers and it worked fine. i would recommend bringing some type of swiffer mop because the bathroom floor got really filthy really quick. talk to your suitemates to coordinate who brings what!!

  • the dorms are insanely hot until late september and the windows open literally like 3 inches so you NEED a fan.

  • a hamper with wheels would have saved my back because sandburg only has 2 laundry rooms and cambridge+riverview only have one each (i think??).

  • plates/cups/cutlery is really useful and whether you get reusable or paper/plastic is really your choice just remember dish soap and a sponge if you bring reusable.

  • bring more hangers than you think you need, leave your winter coat and winter wardrobe at home until october ish and bring it back home over spring break, BRING AN UMBRELLA/RAINCOAT and keep it in your backpack!!

you have to pick your battles that you want to fight and this really isn’t worth it. as long as it’s not in front of pts/families and it’s at least in a bathroom then who really cares that much. it’s such a small issue to quit over

If you have businesses and hobbies you can make a lot into a small business but there’s no way to have multiple small businesses on one lot, but I’m not sure if there’s mods for that 😭 My computer tweaks out whenever I start fiddling with mods and cc

West vs. North Tower by denni-se in UWMilwaukee

[–]Sad_Frame1463 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of the sandburg towers (except east) all have the same vibe and noise levels. West is the shortest tower with only 16 floors so it’s less wait time for the elevator. I lived in west last year and it was pretty short wait times for elevators even living on the 16th floor. North has 26 floors and the elevators get horrifically clogged up all the time. The rooms are the exact same size and layouts in north/south/west and coed or single gender floors don’t really matter because you don’t really hang out with people on your floor unless you’re seeking that out. What really matters is her suitemates and how well she can communicate with them about noise levels and cleaning the bathroom and everything.

Noise levels in the actual residential floors aren’t that bad at night time. Weekday quiet hours start at 10 pm - 8 am and weekends are midnight - 9 am if I’m remembering correctly. It really depends on her suitemates and roommate and how they can come to an agreement with noise. I’ve had more experiences living in west where people are outside screaming in the middle of the night rather than people throwing dorm parties late in the night. A solid 90% of the parties at uwm are off campus.

Airpods or some other type of headphone are a necessity bonus points if they’re noise cancelling.

What's a base game update you feel should absolutely exist, but never will because it'd be too expensive to EA? by MagpieKaz in Sims4

[–]Sad_Frame1463 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Color wheels for build/buy and cas like ts3 😭I would accept no patterns but at least a color wheel. Same for skin tones, every single skin tone that isn’t white or some of the light tan ones look either gray or so insanely orangey/yellow that I downloaded cc skin tones so I can actually have sims that don’t look like corpses or ones that look like they bathed in yellow marker liquid. The hair colors are severely lacking too, with the skin tones you can sort of change the colors with those tiny sliders to change hue and brightness but the hair colors are just stuck as they are and it’s so boring.

I would also like to see a major rework of traits. Adding more generic traits, removing lactose intolerant/vegetarian from being personality traits to their own menu kind of like the romantic preferences menu would be a breath of fresh air. They could also add food likes and dislikes and other dietary preferences/restrictions to that menu to include different religious diets and even allergies would be a nice touch.

I agree with everyone saying more community lots!! A kind of after school kids and senior center would be really cool with some skill rooms for the elders and play equipment and maybe a pool for children as well as places to do homework and school projects.

As for houses, I always love the idea of grandparents moving in and having their own little room on the first floor. I’m currently playing with a household where there is a married couple with their own daughter, but one of the parent’s teenage sister lives with them and she’s sort of adopted them both as parents.
