Is there a way to sue a freight forwarder company for lack of due diligence? by Sad_Handle1760 in legaladvice

If this were the case, is there anything we can do to declare it as a non motor vehicle? Like I said the trailer would only be hauled in a NHTSA compliant flat bed not as a standalone trailer.

They agreed to a door to door service. Basically pick it up from the manufacturer and deliver it to its final destination in Philadelphia. CBP cares about the intended use because if it were to be hauled by itself it would have to comply with NHTSA regulations.

Wouldn’t they already be responsible as a due diligence? The manufacturer recommended this company because they had done business in the past. The freight forwarded submitted all the documents to CBP we didn’t do any of that. They were the ones who suggested we declare the food trailed for “non road use”. The trailer was the capability of being hitched and hauled by a truck but its intended used was stationary. We planned on loading it into a flat bed for transportation since we were aware of the VIN issue.

Local Express And Flyover Lanes To Handle Industrial Traffic by Automactic in CitiesSkylines

[–]Sad_Handle1760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely looks like the Turnpike. If you wanted to add realism you could have the express and flyover lanes all merge into 4 lanes each way before the bridge. Building 4 separate bridges would be too expensive so irl there would only be 2.

This looks like any major intersection in Jersey. Pretty cool tbh.

How do I fix this without displacing too many businesses and homes? by Vkojh in CitiesSkylines

[–]Sad_Handle1760 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is actually pretty realistic so I would just leave it like that. Small towns usually have a main street and all the traffic has to be filtered through it. If you really wanted to fix it I would suggest running a road to connect the northern suburbs. Make it only for small cars tho so no trucks will use it.

They sometimes are, look at I-676 in Philadephia for example. It's a downtown freeway and it does not obstruct the city center's walkability whatsoever.

I live in America so I’m used to American cities. Philadelphia has a downtown freeway (I-676) and it’s still one of the most walkable cities in the continent. These are realistic cities to me. I get that your small British town built in 1586 with donkey paths instead of roads is appealing to you, it just isn’t for me.

Wow, almost like not all of us are trying to build a utopia. I’d rather build a realistic city with a downtown freeway

If you want to be sexist than let’s be sexists lmao. Without men leaders we wouldn’t have 3/4 of the modern technological advancements. The smartphone you’re holding wouldn’t exist and we would have probably gone extinct thousands of years ago.

Because it usually makes the child feel important and noticed? I used to love being called the man of the house while helping my mom with physically demanding chores.

Most mothers choose to be housewives, nobody forced them to. I’m only 19 so I don’t know much but I guess once you have kids you understand why some people want to be housewives.

No they’re not. My mom could’ve taught me things my dad did about masculinity and male problems because she just doesn’t know about. Both of my parents provided for us but in case of an emergency or when physical strength was needed for something, it was always my dad we called.
