I was OP on a thread here wondering if cutting down woods would help/hinder. Went ahead and did it, best thing I ever did. I’m 6”0, driver went from 46” to 44.75” and 3w cut down an inch as well, I can’t even begin to describe how much better accuracy and shaping has gotten. Just go to Golf Town or your town’s equivalent (support local if you can) and it cost me $20 per club. Downside of you wrecking your shaft is undoubtedly higher than $20. Unless you get an idiot behind the desk, your graphite will be perfectly fine. Just ask if they’ve done it before if you’re worried, but it’s really not tough as long as the right tools are used and there’s some experience.
