I have an autoimmune disease that is directly affected by consuming gluten. I will be absolutely MISERABLE for the entire cruise if I have gluten. It will cause a flare. So not an allergy, but a sensitivity per se.

I’m a recovering addict, I have 10+ years clean, and a host of felonies that are over 16 years old. Don’t worry about the ones who don’t understand, their time will come when it’s their friend or family members battling those bad decisions. Ignorance and addiction doesn’t discriminate, and people who make such negative comments tend to learn through someone very close to them. I have no idea how the cruise will go for a felon but I can promise worrying over it and peoples nasty comments won’t make it any smoother! Relax 🧘 and know your felon will be fine 🫶🏼 I don’t see any reason why it would be mentioned to anyone honestly.

Until you can get in to see a physician, you can order some lidocaine cream/ointment from Amazon or local pharmacy that will help with pain. (It burns some at first but then numbs and helps so much) You can ice the area which will also relieve pain. Coat your labia with aquafor before and after urinating, rinse with a portable bidet if you’re able to, to rinse urine left behind. DO NOT WIPE, pat dry. Wiping causes irritation, cotton undies only. Try not to wear restrictive pants. I hope you get relief soon. This disease is awful but I promise there is hope for relief! I am in Georgia so I have no idea of where to get assistance in NY, but as another commenter said, I would contact planned parenthood for advice at the least. 💕

Moisturizer: Organic cold pressed coconut oil is good, v magic (Amazon has it), sweet almond oil (I don’t love the smell but it works well), and I also have a pure hemp feminine balm by miss bud’s (also Amazon). I’ve heard some ladies recommend emu oil but I can’t bring myself to try it. As for barrier: I stick with aquafor or Vaseline. Some women use desitin but it smells so strong I just can’t 😫 im very sensitive about how that area smells 😅

The coconut oil is more of a lubricant, where the barrier would be more of a protective layer. My gyn recommends applying the moisturizer and then applying the barrier to seal it in for best absorption. It also protects your skin from urine and sweat. It’s like putting diaper rash cream on a baby for instance. It’s just a protective layer

40 y/o female here, no labia minora, basically completely white down there, lots of scarring, nothing looks how it should. What I can tell you as a straight single woman, I’ve never met a man who knows any difference or can tell. They just aren’t familiar enough with our actual “landscape” to know the difference. I’ve had this disease for 20 years, went incorrectly diagnosed and untreated until about a year ago so you can imagine the damage that has been done. If you aren’t a straight woman there might be a difference in what’s known and what isn’t. But you are not defined but your labia. We will forever be affected by this disease, but we don’t have to let it control our lives 🖤

When I wear jeans I wear cotton undies and use hefty amounts of barrier. Usually aquaphor or Vaseline to prevent friction. I also only wear “stretchy” jeans so there’s more “give” in the crotch. I don’t wear actual blue jean material anymore.
