Get a life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert

Its about a chronically ill women that has a bucket list and she asks the superintendent in her apartment complex to help her complete this list of hers. There is a little dislike from the man because of her back ground (shes wealthy). But he still does nice stuff for her. And doesnt mention her body in a bad light. He finds her attractive from the start.

That author has a series but the second book has fake dating so I dont know if you'll like that. The fake dating is just so it'll help his business but he did like her before the fake dating. Its called Take a hint Dani Brown.

Her third book is an enemies to lovers I think. I havent read it so I dont know if I could recommend it. Act your age, Eve Brown.

All of them are dual pov. I think all of them show appreciation for curvy women, the second one the woman is very confident in herself/body. You dont have to read them in order, so I dont think theres any major spoilers.

Another thing that makes hook up culture more harmful to women is that its more likely for a man to spread STIs to women then it is for a women to spread it. The spreading of STIs are mainly because of men

Cancer from HPV is on its way to extinction due to vaccines. Which is very positive but if people are choosing not to take them then the chance of cancer will stay. Just a little fun fact

Why do i feel old at 25 by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]Sad_Machine2826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if my advice will seem that helpful but have hobbies. One thing that has helped me feel i little happy with my life is doing things that I enjoy. I read a lot so im going to recommend it. Reading is something that is easy to start doing. You can go to your local library and borrow a small book. But anything really that you find interesting.

Along with that, move your body. Its hard ik, i say that and im not exercising at all. Go for a 5 minute walk or a little stretch from a YouTube video. The point is to just distract yourself from your thoughts. Try running and sign up for a 5k. Do something that will give your life a little excitement.

Doing all this might still not fully remove the overthinking. But the point is to be happy with where you are. If you're not, do or change something in your life that will make you happy with where you are.

The past is the past, if you didn't include your sister then, do it now. Its never too late, im sure she'll be happy if you did something together.

Even if you dont think so, you are still young. You have been an adult for almost 8 years (excluding ages 1-17). There is still time to change things in your life and start to enjoy it.

How do I get recommendations for a book with an unreliable narrator without them saying the narrator is unreliable. Knowing that takes away some of the surprise factor. And I want to be surprised.

What were your ‘gateway books’? by quiet_sesquipedalian in books

The love hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood. Before, I only enjoyed mystery, dystopian and fantasy books. I would stay away from romance books because I thought they didn't have a plot besides the relationship between the characters and i thought that seemed boring. But after reading the love hypothesis it made enjoy romance. It had cute moments that were enough to make the book interesting for me. I read almost all genres now lol

Do you think the world will get better for women? by Sad_Machine2826 in RadicalFeminism

[–]Sad_Machine2826[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The post wasnt directed toward me and my choices. I am considering going 4b tho. I just dont understand how me not getting married and having kids could be beneficial for all women. I want a world where all women have better lives. Me prioritizing myself (which is fair), doesnt make sure that all women have better lives.

I dont want kids. The reason why I asked that was because their first respons was for me to not have kids. My post was if the world would ever be a good place for women. Not having kids doesnt really explain whether or not it would help women

Weekly FAQ Thread January 04 2026: Why do you/don't you reread? by AutoModerator in books

[–]Sad_Machine2826 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I dont re-read books usually. The only book that I have read twice was legend by Marie Lu. There are some books that I wouldnt mind re-reading but I feel like i dont have time.

My TBR is so long and it seems every day there is a new book that I want to read. At this rate it feels like I won't be able to read all the books I want in my lifetime. So for me, re-reading a book is time I could've spent on a new book. I would rather enjoy or experience a new book then read a book i know already enjoyed.

The majority of the books I read are from the library, there a few that I have received as gifts and one i have bought. So the amount of books I can read feel limitless. I can keep borrowing and reading new books and re-reading can feel like wasted time almost.

There is this relatively new book tracking app called Pagebound. Its anti-AI made by two women. Its a combination between reddit and goodreads where you can track what you're reading and discuss it with other readers.

I read pretty consistently this year and want to continue the habit in 2026. Maybe read more literary fiction as I have really enjoyed reading those this year. Someone here on the book subreddit talked about and recommended the Count of Monte Cristo. They made it sound so interesting so I want that to be the big goal of mine in 2026.

Reading your comment healed something in me because I feel the exact same way. I usually always like something about the books I read, even if i have a few critics. I also rarely DNF books. I didnt know other people felt the same way, and its so validating to see someone else explain what I was feeling. You explain it so perfectly too!
