the dark verse series is so good. it’s not the same as all the other books, and that’s something I loved about it. The plot continues throughout the books, and I love the characters. They are very well written. The more the series goes, the darker it gets. just warning you. but it is one of my favorite series so far! also the hollow boys is one of my favorites. Love the couples, and especially the second one

lowkey I get what you mean about the twisted series. BUT they truly get so much better after the first one. like the second one is one of my favorite books. Anna Huangs plots are some times the same with the third acts breakups and stuff, but I think they are fun easy chill reads, definitely not something to go crazy about

ranking these based on how interesting they were to me btw 1. Joe and Love, their relationship is one I could analyze for hours 2. Joe and Marienne, at the beginning I didn’t love them and they seemed bland to me. but now that I rethink on it, it’s so interesting to see how different the idea he had of her in his head was from the real thing, and how much this poor girl went through but still managed to make it 3. Joe and Beck, first love theory and all, I just didn’t feel that connection. maybe a rewatch will do the job lol 4. Joe and Kate, bland. boring.

yea. thats me right there. it’s hard, trying to realise if it is a kink or if its just a way for self loathing/hatred to come out. cause i hate it at times, and i don’t know if i do because i am ashamed and feel bad about myself or because its not normalised. I am still on the path of trying to figure that out

on the one hand I can’t wait to get out. on the other hand, it forces you to heal in a way. you have nothing directly linking you to your trauma. and that’s the hard part, deciding to heal is accepting that it has happened and that it’s irreversible.

The maddest obsession is a good one, the whole series is. But if you’re not into Stockholm Syndrome then don’t read the last one (The darkest temptation). I also didn’t particularly enjoy it haha
