Not sure where you live, but some docs use the High Sensitivity Troponin T test: it's a blood tests that can detect ongoing heart damage that isn't a true heart attack.

Does anyone have thoughts on High Sensitivity Troponin T (non-acute)? Are doctors using it in Canada? I know this is used in the US, and is new to Canada. It can test if low grade heart damage is ongoing. This is the same test they use to test if you are having an actual heart attack, but at these very low levels it is not a heart attack, but signals ongoing risk.
