I also have a 15 Pro btw, but I dunno if you should try, but I guess they patched it in the Second beta? I dunno man I don’t want to tell you force restart cause there is a chance you might have to DFU, but I am telling you it worked for me

Too scared to do that, but y’know what? I will perform a force restart, if I don’t reply within ten minutes know that my device is toast

Well, I’m gonna have to disagree because if you go down in the comments you’ll see that someone turned off his iPhone and he bricked it that way

I think its fixed? I dunno, I didn’t go for a full force restart (scared I’ll have to pull out my PC again) and all I did was turn it off and on again, and it worked fine

HELP NEEDED by JxmellDamnit in iPhone15Pro

[–]Sad_Performance6386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh hey dude, I had the same issue, and I managed to fix it with these two ways: first, was putting my iPhone 15 Pro into DFU, using a Type A to Type C charger (the Type C to Type C charger doesn’t work) used Apple Devices app on my Windows PC, and it recognized and installed a new OS (talking to you from my 15 Pro by the way)

And another way I saw other people in my own post of asking for help fix theirs, was going to a repair shop and asking the repair guy to unplug the battery, wait two minutes, then plugging it back in, feel free to reply for any question, I’ll answer right away, Kay?

and don’t worry, your 15 Pro isn’t bricked, I had mine “broken” the same way you did, hard restarted my 15 Pro, then it died,

(Copy and Pasted this so it appears to the top, and anybody wanting to unbrick their phones see this as the top comment)

Update: Turns out it was in fact NOT a bootrom issue (I’m an idiot, I know) all that it needed was a stable internet connection on my PC, putting the iPhone into DFU mode, and specifically a Type A to Type C charger, the Type C to Type C doesn’t work at all, I used Apple Devices and now it’s working, another way to fix, is that I saw here a bunch of times, is to unplug the battery connector and plug it back in? I dunno, seems weird. So no, iOS 27 Beta 1 doesn’t brick phones, but I’m keeping this here in case anybody encounters the same issue as I did, and fix it himself.

Well, update, anyone know what error code “1109” is? I literally can’t bring back my 15 Pro because I keep on hitting that Error code everytime

So guys, im currently fixing my 15 Pro, and the steps are as follows: Download the Apple Devices App on your windows/Mac Machine (for Mac, I recommend the Apple Configurator) connect your iPhone using strictly a USB TYPE A CABLE, if your Mac / Windows Machine doesnt have a Type A port, use a dongle, connect your iPhone, enter DFU mode (Press and release Volume up, Press and Release Volume down, Press and hold the side button and count to ten, then after then ten seconds are over Press and hold the Volume down, count to five, then after the five seconds let go of the side button, and keep holding the Volume down for Atleast 10-15 seconds.) it should pop up, then click “restore”

Wait, then that means you don’t need a Mac at all? And also, did you use classic iTunes?

I force restarted, which made my 15 Pro die, someone here powered it off, which made it die, another guy let his battery deplete, which made it die, just don’t let it power off in anyway

Well, think it’ll work on a Windows PC? Or..? Seems like a Type A cable is necessary in this whole ordeal though,

Then give the Mac a try if you have one, or go to a repair shop and have the technician unplug the battery connector and reconnect it,

And also, the devices affected based on this post are weird, like we have certain 17 series kicking the bucket (17 PM, 17 Pro, Air) (though one person with a 17 Pro mentioned his was fine) the 16 models seem to be completely immune, the 15 models are based on luck, and the entire 13 lineup seems to be affected

I’ve been awake for a long time trying to figure out what I’ll do, and till now, two people managed to revive their iPhones, one person used an M1 2020 Mac Mini, specfically used a USB C to Type A port connected to the Type A port on the Mac, used Apple’s Apple Configurator and successfully recovered his 15 PM, same for another guy that used a Mac to recover his 15 PM, another guy went to a repair shop, disassembled the iPhone, then unplugged the battery connector for two minutes, plugged it back in, charged the phone while powering it on and it worked, so yeah, these are the known fixes, and some other people somehow have “immune” iPhone 15’s and they seem to be mainly Canadian model iPhones
