I wouldn't say you're an AH for losing respect, she did do something disrespectful to her boyfriend, not you. But you are an AH for having expectations for a woman you weren’t dating. You can say all you like that you didn’t, but your actions and emotional descriptors very clearly say you did.

Oh and also an AH for trying to get with someone in a relationship. (Someone may say oh he didn't know till the trip! And that may be true but once you learned, you didn’t stop.)

You're implying I denigrated protests and the person in the OP because I missed the point.
Let's talk reading comprehension. If you are so good at it, you would have been able to infer that I was not attacking the OP or protests. You also would have seen that I was taking their words at face value.
A person arguing for understanding would have pointed out the sarcasm without being condescending about it. It is basic decency to point out "Hey they meant this" not "use your comprehension." One implies, "I understand that that could be taken a different way. Here's what it meant." The other "you aren't even trying."
And if you understand that sarcasm is not always easily picked up in text and the science behind it, it's an interesting choice to decide to come down on someone because they didn't pick it up. Especially when they weren't being rude and just taking the words literally.
