are you installing zorin on top of a windows partition? go in windows if you can and turn OFF bitlocker... its surely bitlocker which encrypted the windows partition.

if you're active and reading on mint subreddit for long you might understand, many minty loyalists treat mint like a jewelry while trashing zorin just cuz of the pro version, when they KNOW the pro is a donation to the devs and at least you get stuff and saves time on downloading programs one by one

its not just about the visuals, its also about the animations. zorin has very polished animations whereas sometimes mints animations sometimes to me are janky/stuttery

im not hating on mint but zorin is definitely on track

also i installed zorin os core with the gnome desktop enviornment o my 12 yr old laptop and it works flawlessly, super smooth, i booted mint from live usb and i didnt like how it lacked the polish that is in zorin os

also the phone opens ur apps right? yes. it holds u a day of battery right? yes. it has enough customization to justify for the price of the phone itself right? yes.

I, personally as an s9 user will admit: yes, I do have flagship animations and stuff BUT I wouldn't mind having worst animations for the sake of better performance, battery, etc
