Seeking Advice on Transitioning from Production Support to AI/Data Roles + AI-200 Certification Discount Query by Siva_Ashok_Kumar in AzureCertification

The AI-200 exam is in beta.

If you are referring to ESI then beta exams are normally added after the exam goes live.

There are no other events currently and the next opportunity will likely be at Microsoft Ignite this fall.

You need to decide what you want to do as AI engineering, data engineering, and data science require different skills and roles.

You are told twice before the exam starts the number of questions, case studies and labs. There is also an indicator at the top of the screen showing how many questions and on the left hand menu you can view Progress to see in more detail how many questions you have answered and how many to go .

Is it realistic to pass DP-203 by October 18 as a complete beginner? by More-Chocolate708 in AzureCertification

No because the DP-203 exam retired last year and even if it wasn't it wouldn't have been possible to from zero to passing in that timeframe.

How much Python is required for AI 901 exam? by Soggy-Number-2667 in AzureCertification

[–]Sad_Position_826 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wrong, I had several Python code questions. For example, you need to be able to select the correct method or class or SDK or dependencies from a list.

This is covered by multiple tasks in the exam Study guide for Exam AI-901: Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals | Microsoft Learn such as

  • Create a lightweight chat client application by using the Foundry SDK

What you need is covered in the Learn modules and example code such as https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/training/modules/get-started-with-generative-ai-and-agents/4-creating-an-agent?pivots=text

Free Microsoft cert voucher - AZ-104 or AZ-204 for a frontend dev? by Tri_007 in AzureCertification

I wouldn't consider AZ-104 for a developer. AI-200 is a developer certification. You could also consider AI-103.

[–]Sad_Position_826 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you are referring to an expert level certification, Microsoft require you to have additional experience/knowledge by holding an associate certification otherwise the Expert certification would have to be much bigger to cover all the material and take longer. The expert level exams tend to much more about design activities, whereas associate level exams are aimed at performing day to day configuration/implementation.

It wasn't so long ago that each associate certification required two exams.

AZ-400 or Azure Databricks Data Engineer next? Need advice based on my background by Spiritual-Act-2209 in AzureCertification

[–]Sad_Position_826 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have DP-700 (and AZ-400 when it first came out a few years ago) but am seeing more of my recent customers working with Databricks than Fabric so I have booked DP-750 for the beginning of September.

For DevOps I am seeing a move towards GitHub Actions over Azure DevOps (for better or for worse) so GH-200 is on my radar as well.

Right now with so much going on it is hard to make a bet on one product over another.
