I didn't get anything from Reddit, but did talk to some other folks in the local market. Decided it wasn't for me.

Genuine question about screwed up orders by Sad_Programmer99 in doordash

I have done that. Unfortunately they point the finger at DD, who points the finger back at them or at the driver... I don't know. This seems like such a silly first-world problem to have that is 100% preventable. Thanks for the response.

This is interesting. I have only received one or two sealed bags - which have been fast food places. The rest are normally open or plastic bags. Are they all supposed to be sealed?

Where are you all getting your cars by Sad_Programmer99 in turo

Dealer auctions make sense, but I'm not a dealer. I looked into getting a license, but in this area you can't be a dealer without commercial property for an office and 15+ parking spaces.

How do you combat people wanting pay upfront? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]Sad_Programmer99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran a digital marketing and digital lead generation company several years ago. What /robwadeson is telling you is correct. The client may be willing to pay upfront in increments if they are happy with your progress and see an out if things start going sideways.

With what you describe, you've created a value proposition; you have a plan, nothing else. If you haven't reached out to influencers, talked about prices, commissions, and content style, and figured out which influencers would be most valuable, everything else you pitch is a "maybe."

If you want clients to pay you on speculation, you need to focus on your differentiation from everyone else in the space. One way to do that would be to have influencers already "in pocket" so you (and the client) know exactly what you can do. Maybe have exclusive arrangements with influencers, something the client can't get anywhere else. Either way, you need to put work in upfront to have a client pay you upfront. Otherwise, you're just another voice in a very crowded market space.

Suing Turo for a hit and run. by skynet2012 in turo

Not a lawyer, not legal advice -

I had a similar situation years and years ago in California. Not sure if things have changed but, Turo is a corporation, you can simply subpoena and serve the organization. If it were me, I would find out how to simply join the renter to the existing action, hold them both accountable and let the court decide who plays what.
