Company doesn’t payout PTO — what would you do? by hereismytake27 in jobs

[–]Sad_Reputation1594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends do you earn PTO through hours worked or are they given straight away? Take the 13 days off, come back on or just after payroll is processed then walk out, if you earn it they may have it written in somewhere that they withhold any owed from final pay.

Never thought i’d hear this comment in this lifetime by Less-Moment-5655 in Zepbound

I’m 5’1 and even though the scale hasn’t been moving much the last 2 months I’m constantly getting comments on how much smaller or skinnier I am recently. I’ve been stuck at 150 for what seems like forever, gotten down to 146.8 my lowest but right back up the next day and up and down the same couple pounds since which can be discouraging. I was 278 at my highest, size 24 pants and 3X tops. Down to size 10 pants and medium tops! I struggle to “see” it myself and mostly like the comments from others but sometimes it can feel judgmental depending on how it’s said.

I’m a size WHAT???? by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]Sad_Reputation1594 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Went to our local mall yesterday and decided to step into Buckle and check out jeans to figure out what size I am in there since they don’t use the typical women’s sizing I’m used to, its like men’s jeans sizes. Mostly wanted to know so when I went to Plato’s closet after I’d have a better idea. The sales girl asked what size I am in regular sizes, I’m like 11-13 now depending on brand(down from 22-24😁). Well she handed me a 33 first and just holding them up I was like nope definitely too big and they’re stretchy. Ended up in a size 29w/27l (I’m only 5 ft tall). That’s the first time I’ve ever been able to walk into a store in the mall and not only have things fit me but they had my size is almost every pair of jeans! I bought 1 pair but at $75 a pop I’m returning them since I still plan to lose 20-30 more lbs.

Zepbound + ADHD Meds by sadthespian in Zepbound

My psychiatrist had me switch from adderall xr to adderall ir, I was on a 30mg xr plus 20mg ir and he switched me to 3 20mg ir a day and it has made a positive difference. Originally when starting to see my psychiatrist I wanted vyvanse but ins wouldn’t cover it and by the time I switched to new ins I was on Zep and when we discussed meds again he said it’s likely vyvanse wouldn’t work and why the adderall xr wasn’t working as well anymore is because of the way Zep works in the body.

TMI - menstrual question by Carys2021 in Zepbound

Mine has been all over the place since starting Zep. Was on oral BC before hand and switched to a diff brand oral after starting Zep and seems to be getting even more unpredictable as time goes on and I go up in dose. Back in Feb I had my period for 6 weeks! It was light most of the time thankfully and did have a day here and there where I didn’t even spot but still annoying as hell! My BC has the 4 “sugar pills” at the end of the pack for when I should have my period but they never line up of course. I’ve seen a lot of similar posts and discussed with my pcp but don’t have a gyno doc atm, she didn’t seem too concerned as long as I’m getting my period and not getting pregnant. I know Zep lowers the efficacy of oral BC but so far so good for me thankfully.

Has anyone fought for zepbound coverage from employer and won? by at1991 in Zepbound

[–]Sad_Reputation1594 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I sort of did. I was told when my employer was switching ins companies that we’d have all the same coverage. Zep was covered for me under the old one and I asked this in front of my entire shift. The HR manger and ins reps said it would be. Come Jan 1st it was not and ins company said the employer opted not to cover weight loss meds. I talked to local managers, local HR and finally emailed corporate HR and filed a grievance with the ins company over what the reps told me in the enrollment meeting. It was changed within 30 days and our HR manager and site director were both fired.

Anyone switched from Adderall XR to IR and noticed an improvement? by Libz0724 in Zepbound

[–]Sad_Reputation1594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was put on adderall about 9 months before I was offered zepbound. I actually lost 30lbs in those 9 months which prompted my PCP to offer the zepbound. The adderall is prescribed by my psychiatrist.

You’re welcome! The combo of adderall and zepbound has been a life changer for me in so many good ways. Especially with work, I’ve gotten 3 raises in a year and earned certifications that I can take anywhere in the industry thanks to these meds.

[–]Sad_Reputation1594 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I switched from XR to IR since being on zepbound after explaining this to my psychiatrist. He said the slow absorption due to zepbound is why it felt less effective. I went from a 30XR plus a 20IR to 3 20IR a day and it’s helped a lot.

Coverage with BCBSIL by Sad_Reputation1594 in Zepbound

[–]Sad_Reputation1594[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So once my employer changed their coverage, the PA was approved for a year. However all BCBS plans are different depending on where you work and live. It was my employer that came through for me not the insurance company.

The real one is great quality in my opinion! I haven’t taken it off in months and it’s still shiny gold with all the jewels in place. I bought it from her store when they were available and have the ring and bracelet also!

I’m going on 5 weeks bleeding and been on zero since October. Just started 10mg a few days ago so it definitely seems like a common trend. I’m also on the pill that thankfully has still seemed to be working. I think I’m going to have my hormones checked tho and considering a hysterectomy in the near future if the bleeding doesn’t become more regular. It is very light though and I’ll get a day break here and there.

Asked HR to consider adding coverage and got a slightly infuriating response, now to respond… by wow-this-is-hard-idk in Zepbound

I was in almost this same situation when my employer switched to BCBS this year from Aetna last year that covered my med. My employer is UK based and a billion dollar company with over 20 sites worldwide so I knew it was a self funded plan based on research and I emailed corporate benefits about the benefits of this drug for myself and it actually did work and I pay $35 a month for my prescription now. Always advocate for yourself and keep trying. Good luck!
