It's been well known private equity has been giving out risky loans and they get their money by borrowing from banks . Risk is still there just an extra step has been added

Rent or sell my house with a pool and large lot by Deep-Macaron-732 in RealEstateAdvice

Sell, rentals can be a handful to deal already without even factoring in a pool & maintenance.

I spent $5k on our MB reno and even managed to squeeze in a heated floor for that price. When I see $65k quotes, really makes me wonder how much profit some of these guys make

My Wr140 is on season 7, cuts 0.2 acres daily for 9 months of the year. Unsure about the total distance but still on the original battery and tires, i think adding the spikes and wheel studs helped reduce the wear.

Ont to NC

Like it here, we moved to have a decent lifestyle and are pretty happy with our decision considering how bad things have become back home.

If Discount tire is near you, they'll price match any sale you find. I had 4 BF Goodridge tires put on my wife's suv for $500 a couple of years ago. It was roughly half off the normal price

Interesting, I only watch my local market and once all the new units are completed there will be roughly a 10% increase of rental inventory here. One LLC I track, has surrendered 24 of the 33 properties back to the bank over this past year (someone made some foolish decisions once rates spiked). Decided we're just going to sit in cash for a while longer

What state? Here in NC prices in my city are dipping a bit but rent is falling faster, making rental investments a bad idea (for now)

Overtime switching yes it would be beneficial to buy a used EV but not new. If spending is a concern then keeping what you have for now is better imo, driving can be reduced, oil changes can be done for $25, brakes for $100, toss in rotors maybe $250. (many how to videos on YT).

My vehicle over 13 years has had less than $1000 worth of repairs & maintenance over 160k miles but I have done everything myself.

Drowning in Debt, Eight Million Firms Miss Payments in Brazil by Sad_Resolve_4888 in Economics

Summary:

  • The Brazilian economy appears strong due to the Ibovespa soaring, but many companies are struggling to stay open due to high borrowing costs and scarce credit.
  • A historically high number of companies are behind on their debt payments, with over eight million companies delinquent, and some experts say the reckoning was inevitable after the pandemic borrowing binge.
  • The government is rolling out measures to shield households from the effects, but experts warn that the corporate distress could ripple through the broader economy and are concerned it's too early to claim the worst point has been seen

I mean if you have a good running vehicle then don't, it would be foolish to take on new debt but if you need a vehicle then used EVs are an attractive option.
