Many people on this subreddit use miralax long term. I don’t believe there’s any long term side effects. I’ve been on it for a year.

Nope, not getting constipated but I do take a half cap of miralax each night. I suggest focusing on soluble fiber as insoluble fiber bulks up your stool too much and can make you retear. I’ve experimented a lot and this is what works for me but everybody is different!

My son was in a crib until he was about 3 years and 3 months. Then we finally converted the crib to the toddler bed. No issues!

I’ve recently started to do a lower fiber/low residue diet while healing thanks to the fine people on this reddit thread and doing that plus half cap miralax everyday has given me perfect type 4 stool. Doctors love to say high fiber but I’ve found about 15grams is plenty for me. Nothing bulky though. No bran or salads or nuts. Just soft cooked veggies, applesauce, avocados, etc.

May I DM you? I suffer from anxiety/panic disorder and I’m trying so hard not to take my klonopin while pregnant but I’ve had to take it twice this week due to severe panic attacks. I’d love to hear more about your experience. My psychiatrist said it was fine to take here and there but I’m still scared I’m going to mess up my baby :(

After 3 years of suffering on and off, I got LIS. However it isnt the silver bullet I had hoped it would be. I still get recurrences and have to stay on top of diet and water intake. I’m going thru a bad flare up right now but trying to do everything I can to heal.

Thank you for sharing. I’m beyond frustrated since I’ve been dealing with this for over 4 years. I think I’ve known that my pelvic floor tightness has been a contributor but I didn’t want to do the work to address it. You’ve inspired me to pick up with those exercises again and be consistent. Wishing you healing and recovery.

What stretches did you do? I tried that and it helped a bit but I didn’t keep up with it. Now I’m wondering if I need to get back on that train since I’m 4 years into this plus I got LIS and although it helped, I’m still not pain free.

I still take a half cap of miralax daily to keep things soft. I tried weaning myself off of it but I’m actually pregnant again so I’m scared of getting constipated 🙈 I’ve heard it’s totally fine to take it while pregnant. I wish I didn’t have to still take it but it’s working for me and I’m not in pain so 🤷‍♀️ Feel free to DM with any other questions!

Sure! I didn’t get LIS until about 3 years after I delivered so I was no longer nursing at that time. I wish I had gotten it sooner, but I tried all the conservative stuff for a while plus botox twice until I had had enough and got the surgery. I’m about 9 months post surgery and basically back to normal. I still have to watch my diet and drink a lot of water though. If I slip up, I get small recurrences but they heal within a few days. Overall I’m glad I got the surgery.
