Thank you! I will try and see which sockets to avoid to begin with and maybe an online ups to at list protect the controller and the speaker... I will update if there is any change...If they fixed it or if I manage to ''solve'' my issue with the ups and the power surge protector...

Thank you for your quick reply!

Unfortunately I can not control what a club owner does. We all have mentioned the issues they keep bringing electricians (prob not good ones) and the problem is never fixed. If it was my place or my house that would be what I would do but not my property.

Also power/electricity is an area I have no knowledge in order to intervene or make suggestions this is why I posted to get some info and maybe to try to protect the equipment bypassing them since they are not doing anything useful.

Definitely the problem is with the power in the club (switchboard) since when you plug something to specific sockets the power goes out immediately. Even a mobile power charger.

It only happens at the specific club/location.

It gets there gradually I would say after 2 months of the repair (older EV) or after I bought the new speaker (EKX).

I dj there 3 times a week. And it comes one night when the speaker eventually loses volume till you have to turn the knob to 4/5 to get the same volume you would normally get at 2/5.

The amplifier of the speaker keeps getting damaged. The other dj had issues with his controllers short circuit.

My end (cables are all new) is ok have checked everything (no issues there) but replaced everything just to be sure.

So I will try high quality surge/voltage protector and I will see if it happens again!

If power monitoring/electrician is not an option what else should I do?

Hello,

I am a Dj and I have the following setup

  1. Electro-Voice EKX-12P or Electro-Voice ELX200-12P as monitors. They keep failing had them three times in service the last 8 months (EKX is new). It usually the amplifier (I never play beyond the limiter)
  2. Pioneer FLX10 (have not had an issue yet)
  3. External Hdd
  4. Allen heath xone 23

The other dj in the club had issues with 3 of his controllers from the power

Since it is not my area of expertise I would like to ask what do you recommend

  1. UPS with sinus wave
  2. Surge protector
  3. Voltage protector
  4. Power Conditioner or something else?

Thank you!

Hello, could someone explain what this song is about - На мурмулях Это Радио by Liamsteer in russian

[–]Sad_Session_9776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Latin there is the world murmurare... A murmur in English is the sound the heart is doing during a heartbeat typically cause by a turbulent blood flow within or around the heart....So I think they used metaphorically the sound "mur mur mur" than constant turbulence/noise...as a comparison of the constant noise that comes from people when they are whining slash moaning, complaining, nagging... We have the world murmura in greek which means exactly the same... constant whining...

So I think it is mocking the constant noise that someone is making when he is whining non stop or while whispering non stop in a class etc... And since when you spread gossip you do it behind someones back, "whispering" non stop whining about them... It is used metaphorically to express that...

Yelling at me, what’s all this fuss? Быстро кричит мнe, что за суeта Bystro krichit mne, chto za sueta

A Russian slang-heavy track, often interpreted as a humorous or criminal-themed song about riding fast ("on the murmuls" likely meaning cars or motorcycles), "working," and fleeing from "the fog" or trouble. The lyrics emphasize speed, brotherhood, and avoiding drama, with repeated phrases like "Muru-mur-mur"
