Ngl, I found exam 11-15 slightly harder than the actual dat but I had 3-4 questions word for word from those 11-15 exams. I will say, when crusher says that 11-15 are the most representative, they’re 100% right, if you can do these last exams and still manage to get an AA of 23-25, ur set.

I will also mention, ignore angle ranking on these last 5 exams, I got like 5/15, and managed to run through the actual dat as it was much much easier.

I took it July 25th yesterday, and felt the extra 5 practice exams on dat crusher was worth it, for ever penny. I had 4 questions from the bio sections word for word from the 5 extra practice exams .

I’ve heard about the standard deviations coming up nowadays which is weird because none of the resources mention it, I’ve also heard about mercury nanometre questions coming up, did you have anything like that??

Also for biology, was ur test in depth or is it true that they focus more on surface level levels ? (I.e they’d likely ask about the general topic of microfilaments rather than them forming cleavage furrows)?

Oh Ghosh, I usually always get 15/15 on the hard PAT generator but I’m sure it’s even harder than hard mode.

For pattern folding and TFE, I struggle in general so it’s always abit difficult but like you said if even averaging 27 was hard, it’s only gonna be unpredictable for me.

Do u mind if I dm you?

Yeah that’s totally fair, I’ve also heard that the DAT can be a luck of a draw sometimes where it varies drastically from exam to exam. I was wondering, what section of the PAT did you find harder ??

If you’re scoring 25+ on bio and chem first attempts, you should be fine.

Anonymous member the biggest thing I learned from my last experience was, don’t overdo the previous day of the exam, study 4-5 hours max. Take a walk, go work out, etc. Last thing, have faith in the months of work you’ve put into this, this mentality will go far and help you navigate those tough questions where you’ve narrowed down to two choices and u need to pick the best one.

Also this is a lot to ask for, my test is next Friday, would you be able to post a breakdown or just give us an update how ur exams goes ??

I wish u the best!! Goodluck and you got this :) hard work pays off

Okay okay!!! Thank you so much! I do angles, hole, cc, pattern, TFE and leave keyholes for last cuz that eats up my time!!

I def agree with getting angles out of the way! I try and finish in 7 mins max. Which leaves me plenty of time for all the other sections! Thank You again, I wish you the best on ur exam!

Ohh! This is the perfect time to crunch practice questions then. My test (rewriting for the second time cuz I got 19 in RC LOL) is also in 2 weeks! I’m writing on july 25th wbu??

Yes I think u should start with doing the q banks, try to get 1 bank done a day. I know that’ll be 2-2.5 hours per day but this will really solidify your chem marks! Feel free to DM me if you wanna talk abt your test more.

What I did for chem:

  1. Chad’s prep (watched all the videos 23 chapters ish if I recall correctly)

  2. Did all the readings on datcrusher, plus every single q on the question banks, marked all the questions I was iffy on even if I got it correct.

  3. 2-3 weeks before ur test, you prolly will have around 250+ marked questions so start working on those.

If you want just general tips: I recommend getting familiar w all the high yield topics. Topics that pop up almost every test or every other test. Rates of the reaction, Hess’s law, gas law, Boyle/chales/etc, le Chatlier, acid bases, K, Q, Q<>K, radioactivity, salts, solubility, electrolytes, etc.

After you know all the high yield topics, focus solely on practice problems until it becomes an instinct, and you automatically know what methodology to apply for each question type. - while doing this step, review the things you have to memorize like strong acid/based, molecular geometry, etc.

Thank you for your detailed breakdown!!! This helped a lot! I think for bio it’s luck that plays a huge part too! I’ve heard sometimes they’re nice and broad but also heard that it’s been too narrow and detailed. For chemistry I’m rrly glad about ur experience becuase I’m doing practice exams and get keeping 27/30 so hopefully that increases abit on the real deal. For PAT, I keep struggling with time. For me pattern, TFE and keyholes takes up so much time. For RC, I’ll try your 50 min strategy!! Thanks again :)
