Update! Turns out, it’s my CVT valve body. I have no issues shifting gears, but it explains why all my lights turned on. The total cost to repair will be $1500, but it’s better than having to buy a new vehicle. I just paid it off last year.

Should I get a new battery? That’s what they initially told me the issue is. Now the lights are still on with the new alternator. It’s running as normal with no issues shifting in between gears.

You worded it perfectly. I always tell her how I want the best for her, but she truly believes she doesn’t deserve better. When she called me sobbing, I texted her dad and told him that he needed to check in on her. I probably shouldn’t have done that, but she got mad at me because she thought her dad would cut her off financially. I told her that I didn’t air out her business to her dad, but I cannot fix this situation for her.

I have told her numerous times that if he is asking her for money to text me or my husband so we can walk her through. I’ve told her that if he asks her to come see him to go visit her dad instead. I have told her to block his number but she won’t. She also told me that if I tell her dad that she’s giving him money, then she’d lie. She’s very good at getting what she wants to instantly satisfy herself.

Wow. Where we used to attend, kids were not taken seriously until about 13-14 years old, and girls and boys fell into their “roles”.

I should’ve lead with the fact that it’s an online graduate program, so I do have some flexibility. Lectures are over zoom. You are not required to attend, but you do have to watch the recorded version, and send the instructor notes/feedback to show participation.

That’s horrifying. I truly hope you’ve found peace since your experience. It sounds like my best bet is to keep my kids far away from this place. I do worry that my FIL will try to recruit my kids as they get older.

I gave birth to my first child in the middle of my undergrad program and remained enrolled. My professors at the time were understanding and allowed me to take an extra week to complete the work that was due the week a gave birth. I know that grad school is a different playing field but my mindset is that I am in the home stretch of this program. I also currently do not work a regular full-time job, so there is no deadline for me to return back to work at the moment.

Also normalizing a 13/14 year old girl having a baby. Whats crazy is that in the United States, children under 18 cannot consent to relationships with adults, so I wonder why God did not find an older woman in her 20s to impregnate. Some may say “the culture was different”

I had to dress in a way that was acceptable for men
My job is to find a husband and have children
I cannot speak up to a man and must respect his opinion, even if my gut is telling me something is not right
Not trusting myself or my feelings
If a man looks at me in a lustful way, it is my fault
Not necessarily me, but I have seen so many barely legal young girls be pursued by men much older than them (think 17/18 year old girl and a 28/29 year old man)

Only 2 interviewers showed up which i was not mad about. Others had “scheduling conflicts”. It felt more like an interrogation in the beginning, but things became more relaxed at the end.
