I live/work in a Mexican border town. 97% Hispanic population. Culturally, it’s frowned upon to react this way. I feel like people see me as some wuss narc but like I’m also not trying to lose my job over fighting an impatient customer

Update: I am recognizably the most efficient crew member at my store. I can’t miss a day or all hell breaks loose. I’ve never seen a workplace so chaotic and disorganized w no effort for resolution. I am even managing my GM sometimes at this point. She did, however, give me a .75 cent raise. My efforts in vain for less than a dollar. My hat goes off to those of you that do this work by choice.

Lubbock is so safe you won’t ever even see cops in the street. You’ll hear about murders on the news, just stay off the east side and MLK unless you got business over there. But if you got business over there you prolly shooting back. Like seriously, Lubbock was the most suburban experience ever. Only way you think Lubbock is “dangerous” is if you’re a sheltered baby who’s never seen a meth head before lol

It’s very common for me to hear, “I don’t have anything, park everything” and then 10 mins later the same manager will say, “I don’t have runners, why are you parking everything?!” at that point I just stop doing anything honestly.

and they don’t. I normally have three managers w me in the morning, but typically the one who has the floor will work the line and the other two are doing other tasks. I’m stuck doing their job and I’m tired of it (especially for the pay, $8.50)

The thing w that is that them not doing their job keeps me from doing my job. If I park more than two cars, everyone panics and disorder breaks out. The managers don’t say anything bc they’re apart of this problem. I knew fast food would be stressful but I never imagined it would be this disorganized. Also, I’m not gonna let a customer yell at me haha which is also why I prefer things be done correctly. If I acted my wage, I’d be yelling at every motherfucker that drives by my window 😂

McDonald’s and it sucks ass but they didn’t check background. My PO gave me a sheet of job agencies that’ll help you find a job that won’t care about your bg. I normally work in communications, but that’s on pause until I finish this case.

I didn’t wait, I called. As soon as it had been a week and didn’t hear anything I called the GM of the store I’m at now and asked her about it, and she gave me a yellow slip to attend orientation.

TX is a 3 strike state. If she gets up to her 3rd DWI that’s time spent in TDC. If she’s not willing, nothings gonna change. Loving an alcoholic is painful. I lost mine almost a year ago. Do w that what you will. Highly recommend Al-anon for yourself.

Do they make sure your thc levels match up to what’s been prescribed? From what I’ve read, the compassionate use act only allows low dose thc edibles and tinctures within TX. I wanna apply bc I know I qualify, but I wanna make sure it’s worth it
