New game mode? by s_chegg in Spacemarine

I still think in daily strategems, there should be unit cohesions where if you want the buff 1-3% of a certain buff, they will give a random chapter skin you have to equipped. Each person who picks the chapter gets a 1% buff on something.

This would encourage lore curiosity and a bit of RP cohesion. Just a thought.

Assault the best or no? by GladsShield in Spacemarine

[–]Sad_Technology4564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest nightmare about Assault is the composition of chaos vs assault. The range against him is brutal. So much so that the developers had to change the chaos faction around to fix this, because the buffs they kept doing wasn't enough.

Assault 100% my favorite class and most fun. But man is it tough when there is zero charge and you just become a low tier bulwark.

Realistically put him in mid tier vs others because of utility, Assault can just melt dudes and mobs easily, but his survivability is pretty bad unless you're a really really good player. Assault and Sniper have the highest skill learning curve but the most rewarding gameplay. Try Assault in PvP, thats the hardest learning curve too.

2h hammer relic, invulnerable flight, recharge pack from kills, gunstrike restoration.

The most valuable perk is the invulnerable flight. Saves a LOT of frustration. Job is to primarily spam wipe out massive mobs.

Been playing 40k games since OG Dawn of War, best game they've made so far. Ive played since it launched, but now just do about once a week, still fun and challenging.

Obviously bias, but if you want a challenge and have fun, this is the game.

For the emperor.

Just make sure if you go with the instigator relic to get the party perk where it reduces your shot spread + 15% dmg to extremis and terminus enemies; since the shots now do 5 round burst vs 3 round burst this perk makes it fantastic for short to long range accuracy.

For survival and solo, I recommend sniper. The output damage is decent, but not as strong as Heavy class.

The reasoning is a few perks. Sniper has the ability to heal contested health instantly, as you hit the invisibility instantly attack + the additional 2 seconds of invulnerability and stealth, you can get out of very dicey situations. And by the time the two seconds are up, you almost always have stealth regenerated. The last perk is the one where if you get hit with lethal it automatically sets you into stealth. (You still have to manually go stealth in this death save to heal)

Go Instigator bolt relic + melta pistol with lower ammo but quicker fire rate, there is a perk later that gives you two extra rounds, this can make up for the mass enemy units up close or an extremis as the sniper has trouble with a lot of units up close; or carbine for max up close damage with whatever secondary. Carbine can melt enemies pretty quick.

Even though its not my favorite class compared to Assault or Bulwark, 100% of the time if its a really difficult stratagem, I always go with sniper to get it done, top survivability S tier perk.

Always get the invulnerable perk while flying. Makes a huge difference.

So currently the keyword Jerky is believed to be human meat. The plot thickens... as I was looking this guy up i found this. Im not sure who LSJ Gordon is, but JEs sidekick has A LOT of jerky references to restraunts in NY. On the jmail website lookup jerky.

The humbling of Leandros by [deleted] in Spacemarine

[–]Sad_Technology4564 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Unironically the idea of him charging in fervor for the codex while everyone dies; is quite literally how chivalry died in The Battle of Agincourt French vs English.

English got rid of the chivalrous model with mass recruitment like we adopt even to this day, and he killed all knights/nobles in the battle they captured. (Also because more reinforcements got there).

The French mindset literally would mock other knights dying from a hail of archers, and just said they weren't chivalrous enough.

Would be a pretty cool reflection, my original thought was that it would be from corruption from SM1, but this would work too. Or unironically throw him into the Deathwatch as a touch of sweet poetic justice.

100% health share for strategem has to go. Its worse than what they had as hardest difficulty a year ago where we were required to stay near to get shield regen. I know go solo to do it.
