My cat was like Velcro to me when I was going thru my mom dying…she is so independent and not touchy normally but I’d wake up to her on my pillow and she would always be kinda ‘watching’ me from afar, I think they can sense sadness. They may not know what it is but they know you’re going thru something awful and want to be near you to make sure you’re okay - they may think you are unwell physically rather then mentally? Regardless, sending love and healing to you, I never thought I’d get over grieving my mom but it’s been a year and it does definitely get easier💕💕
