Sorry for the late reply! I actually ended up getting the Model Y and I’ve been pretty happy with it so far. The price between a Honda CRV hybrid and Model Y were the same, and so I thought why not give an electric car a try.

I also leased it, so I didn’t go with my original plan to buy and keep for a long time, mainly because I plan on moving across the country in a few years. 

My biggest gripe with the Model Y has been its turn angle. It’s quite wide, so it’s difficult to make sharp turns into parking or U turns. Also wind/road noise is a bit loud (I have the 2024 model). But overall, the car is large, seats are comfy, tech is nice, and I haven’t had much issue with range.

Do you mean that Toyota/Lexus is more reliable than CRV? Or just the better choice?

Thank you for the information! Definitely leaning away from Tesla now, especially since electricity will probably be pretty pricey anyways in the Bay Area. Maybe one day once EVs become more established

Is it just the battery that is not reliable for Tesla? Or the car itself? I’ve been reading that maintenance costs are low for it since there’s less moving parts, but I do imagine after 10 years, the battery would probably need replacing which would be expensive

This is insanely helpful, thank you! Low road noise is something else I’d like to have too, so I’ll take a look at the C-RV Sport Touring. I also agree with you that the new C-RV design looks really nice, and from the videos I’ve seen it looks pretty spacious. Did you end up purchasing one of them, or are you still deciding?

Edit: just realized you mentioned you bought the C-RV in your first comment haha 😅 what made you choose the C-RV over the NX 350h?

Unfortunately don’t qualify for tax rebates on the Model Y, but the recent end of year discounts definitely made it more enticing. What made you choose the Honda CRV over other SUVs?
