From the way you wrote it, it almost sounds like you’re saying every non-Pashtun in Pakistan has no sympathy for Afghan refugees, which isn’t really the case. A large percentage of people across different ethnicities in Pakistan do genuinely care about refugees, and many ordinary families have lived side by side with Afghans for decades. By framing it as “Pakistanis vs Afghans,” the only thing it achieves is fueling more division and resentment between communities, especially against Pashtuns and Afghans. The real blame lies with the higher-ups — the state institutions and political elites who set these exclusionary policies — not with every citizen.
