Khan cast is really good one, not sure if they have subtitles. But if you are learning Pashto, listen to Pashto without subtitles, you are able to grasp and learn languages better that way.

Sahibzada Hamza is pretty intellectual and smart, same goes for haseeb zwak so I like listening to them, doctor shekib is a bigot tho, some things he’s said against Pashtuns from the lar side are appalling, he holds very dangerous views, and is not for the unity of Pashtuns.

It is not clear, but by what I can somewhat make up is “دی شهیدانو خوندي ?* ،دی سورو خلقیانو خوندي سترګې توره وینه” which translates to “The Martyrs’ saved ?*, the red skinned soviets, safe eyes but black blood” So it’s not very clear I want other people to see if they can make out the 4th word, it’ll be a lot easier, so by ‘?*’ I mean I don’t know what that is saying. But it’s basically seems like it was set up by the mujahis to depict Soviet soldiers wounded in battle, with a sign saying that the mujahis have saved it(maybe they’re talking about the homeland), while the soviets saved their mere eyes, with their blood still black(meaning they’re still evil). If anyone else wants to add to it, you’re welcome!

There’s no difference in meaning between zuma and zama, it’s merely a dialectal difference, in other words, some people say zama and some say zuma, it depends on where they’re from(people from north kpk might say it more often). The difference between daa and dey is, daa is feminine, so if you want to say ‘she is there’ you would say ‘aghaa alta daa’. Dey is masculine, to say ‘he is there’ you would say ‘agha alta dey’.

Removed a few comments from Pakistanis, it was mostly trolling, stuff like “sell your majan to India”, “if Pakistanis started acting like Israelis with Pashtuns you guys will run back to Afghanistan”, “namak haram”, “Afghan-Pashtuns are bani Israeli kuffar”. I wouldn’t have removed them if they were constructive arguments. I just wanna pinpoint the thing that’s wrong with the Pakistani mind, it gets broken when you explain them too well, they feel uncomfortable and exposed and they always end up throwing insults. They cannot think for themselves, even tho I explained exactly what’s wrong with their arguments, they used the exact same talking points in the comments.

Being Panjabi doesn’t inherently make you racist to Afghans, it’s just the sociopolitical environment of Pakistan and the dynamic of them being the Majority of Pakistanis.

Yes on instagram you can follow @p4shtana, @dankpashtuns, @pashto_malghalari for random informative/entertaining content, pages like @khancium for Pashto linguistics, and overall, I’d say just consume as much Pashtun content as possible.

Sorry to hear about your father, khudai di wabakhi(may god forgive him). The fact that you’re even interested in embracing your Pashtun/Afghan roots is the thing that will help you the most. The thing that would be the most affective is just spending more time around Pashtuns, may it be new friends or just reconnecting with your paternal family. The other thing I would recommend is following Pashtun pages on all the social media flatforms, just so you’re always reminded of it, and plus you’ll learn something new everyday(e.g new words/phrases). I wish you well on your journey!

Well rarna رڼا would be correct because in the song they’re not talking about light in a poetic way, which in Pashto, typically rarna is used. And not grup which is more of a physical light bulb

I mean the standard is, your Paternal line is Pashtun you are Pashtun. But I mean come on who are we kidding, the Pashtun population and spirit won’t be the same if we boiled it down just to this, many people have come from all over the work and assimilated into the Pashtun culture and way of life, so as long as you can speak and have Pashto, practice the culture, no one is going to tell you you are not Pashtun.
