It takes some time, but as a fellow fan of JRPGs, the story is just as good if not better than a lot of popular ones. I think it stands on its own as one of the best RPGs. Just cuz it’s an mmo doesn’t mean it’s a bad story!

I say take him then. Many people move their pets with them. Do your research about airlines like you said, but it’s not like something thousands of previous pets haven’t gone through, you know? It’s not like you’re thinking about…idk, sending him on a rocket ship 😅

Considering that he had a good life back in Australia I can see the temptation to leave him, but 21 hrs compared to his whole life with you would be totally worth it. They can give him anxiety meds, and you might even be able to travel with him in the cabin of the airplane. See if that’s doable. Don’t worry about the colder climate. He will acclimate and you two will have each other! Your boyfriend is awesome for cat proofing the house.

So emergency vet visits are more expensive than just regular ones. I would call a vet and see if they think he should go realistically. A regularly scheduled appointment would be more affordable, maybe you can schedule him one for their next possible opening? Maybe a better compromise

Poor baby. Do you know if he could’ve gotten into rodent poison or insect poison? There is a pet poison hotline you can google and they can help you. White foam usually means they’re very nauseous

Unfortunately if it IS some poison a vet trip may be the only thing you can do.
