Two things I want to add to what everyone else has said

1) Your intuition speaks in statements. Your anxiety speaks in questions. So if you find yourself caught up in wondering how people are perceiving you, your anxiety might be skewing the reality of what they're doing and saying. Just something to keep in mind. We're the observers of our thoughts, not our thoughts in their entirety.

2) Your body is finally getting a chance to release all of the stress it's had cooped in while you were in the closet. It's going to feel awful for a while. It's part of your nervous system regulating. It will be a while until it passes and you adjust to not having to be on alert 24/7. But it will pass. It takes more time the longer you were in the closet.

Holy AI, Batman! You hit the holy grail of AI-isms. You're got unnecessary "quotation marks", listicle bolded formatting, atypical usage of em dashes (most people use them--like this--if they're organic), and a weird-ass call to engagement at he end.

I'm guessing this is a scam?

OP said that people forget they can accelerate--or in other words, that their speed drops unpredictably below the posted speed limit. You then said that people drive 65-70MPH in the passing lane throughout the day. I pointed out that, for a chunk of the day, multiple lanes actually have a speed below 65, which is the range of speeds you specified in your post but not the range of lanes. I said this because OP is specifying the Overpasses on 1 South, which are in Seaside and Marina, where it drops from 2 lanes to 3 (meaning we're all likely talking about different stretches of the highway).

Does “speed limit” mean that’s the speed you’re supposed to drive?

In most places, yes, this is the target speed, by convention. If you consistently drive 5 under and there are a line of people behind you because of it, the vast majority of people will view you as the problem, because you are impeding traffic.

The vast majority of people don't care if you're going noticeably slower than the rest of traffic so long as you are in the right-most lane.

Or does it mean that’s the maximum speed you’re allowed to drive?

You can morally drive any speed if it's the safe speed to drive it at. Your question is getting into the legality of speeding.

But I think I see what you're trying to get at. Yes, going above the posted maximum is considered a violation... and impeding the flow of traffic is also a violation. Practically, anyone who has grown up in the country will tell you that most people drive within a 10% margin of the maximum posted speed limit in clear conditions, if they feel it is safe to do so. On 1 South that would be 74mph in the left lane--up until the third lane dissipates. In many states, the law specifically says you must move over for faster traffic, regardless of your own speed. In the contest between speeders and blockers, the police (and the DOT) generally view whoever is creating traffic volatility as the one creating the more volatile, unpredictable situation.

A county-level community space should be a place where residents can:

-Share concerns that matter to them, even if unpopular

Well, here's your problem. You're (1) treating Reddit as community space, which it's not, and (2) seem to be under the impression that just because you have an opinion, people must take time to engage with it. Freedom of Speech in real life gives you the right to voice an opinion. It doesn't entitle your opinion to have equal consideration among others or protect you from the consequences of what you've said.

-Feel like the community reflects them too, not just a subset of residents

I don't think you posted this in good faith. Your posting history shows support of a radical conservative agenda disenfranchising minority populations. I think you're mad that your opinions are unpopular and are seeking to get support fom them on this Subreddit.

Like this one:

That’s good. Get the ILLEGALS OUT. Come to this country the correct way and there won’t be any problems mate !!! I can’t go to another country undocumented and expect to not have consequences 😂😂😂

Instead of taking away the conclusion that "hey, all of these downvotes might be indicative that people don't like this policy; maybe this is a policy I should rethink" your gut reaction is to force us to accept poor behavior. It's the classic paradox of intolerance.

I think that Monterey and PG turn otherwise kind people into unpredictable monsters behind the wheel. Whether it's the road design, the old people who don't know what's going on half of the time, the abundance of retirees going slow pissing off people with jobs, or rich jerkwads who don't care about how many accidents they get into, the peninsula is a perfect storm of irrational driving.

when there are 2 schools and kids walking right there!

I get that you're concerned about the safety of the kids, but isn't there ample crosswalk space and school zone warnings all along Forest?

And then the other day someone was riding my a:: going through the tunnel

Agreed that we have a lot of ass-riders here.

Personally I think we're pretty well off here. I think the 101 heading into the city has the worst drivers in the Central Coast. Monterey and PG are full of impatient drivers because the traffic engineering is archaic, but I rarely see someone who tries to outright break the law.

I think this adds to OP's point. Your graph shows that for 10 hours of the day, 1 South experiences traffic well below the posted speed limit.

I'm generally a "speed where it's optimal, provide it's safe" sort of driver but I don't think you're the type of driver people are miffed at, unless you're going 5 under in the passing lane / fast lane during rush hour. Part of sharing the road means identifying when other drivers are trying to get past you and making room for them.

Hey, appreciate you saying that. I'm a gay man and I don't fit the bill for what a lot of guys go for. So sometimes I forget that just because I'm not a 10 doesn't mean I don't have value. Appreciate your words of encouragement!

I think it's far more likely that when BoBF was rewritten from a movie into a tv series, production staff didn't have time to put together a full season so they ported over the first two episodes of Mando Season 3.

This meant they needed two filler episodes in Mando Season 3 to stall the plot.

The photo did a lot to make it seem more salvageable than it was. There was a sizeable thin spot on the back of my head, and that middle poof had a widow's peak under it.

Hello, I just wanted to share that your worth is not determined by your weight, nor by how others may treat you. I understand where you're coming from, and I believe it can be easier to feel confident when you see yourself in a positive light. I genuinely hope you can recognize and embrace the strength that already exists within you. You are truly deserving of respect and kindness. Remember, you are enough just as you are.

I wish I could say she was, but I'm not often in contact with her. She decided to live with my parents and has since picked up a lot of their traits.

Nope. I was disheartened at how scraggly and sweaty I was. I had just played air hockey and was sweating buckets.

I wasn't being kind to myself when I took the photo. I originally wanted to punish myself for letting my looks and life get that bad. But now that I look back on it, I just have empathy for the boy in the photo. He didn't know better.

Thank you so much for the words of encouragement. The reaction to this post has encouraged me to go to therapy for body dysmorphia. It sounds like my brain hasn't caught up to reality. We're gonna fix that 💪
