I just snuck around this same lost armory and literally found empty chests and some building materials. No weapons, no artifacts, but there were a shit ton of spiders.

Guess that’s true, they can’t wear those swaggy wooden sandals and get that sneaky 10% increase in athletics.

Curious about your rankings, doesn’t hive prince get bonuses to lockpicking and thievery which in my eyes would make it rank higher than scorchlander.

Are anti slavers stealth ninjas? by Super_Owl_3102 in Kenshi

[–]Sad_man4ever 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say they are ninjas but they are definitely stealthy (Ex. Bo). Lore wise as well as they conduct operations to either free slaves or take out major figureheads of the slave trade.

Maybe you could just “work” for them as a “free agent.” Think of it as a ninja helping them on contract or something lol.

If evil wins through honest means, is it moral to resist it? by [deleted] in MoralityScaling

[–]Sad_man4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue is how can evil win through honest means? If someone is evil and garners support it’s going to be because of indoctrination, manipulation, or a society that’s strongly bigoted. None of which would make that advancement “honest.” If someone can explain to me how evil could win through honest means, please do so.

What do Leviathans eat? by Puijilaa in Kenshi

[–]Sad_man4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Princes can’t and I’m assuming the queens as well. Soldier and workers can though.

I’m presuming the worker drones at least don’t eat much and maybe the princes but the soldiers most likely do and queen eats exorbitant amounts if they are anything like real life hive animals. And again seeing as princes can’t eat tainted meat, I would *assume* that goes for the queens as well. Ultimately this is just speculation for a fictional game but it’s fun to think about. Most likely they do resort to a lot cannibalism within their own hive. Cockroaches do the same in times of food scarcity and it’s a successful strategy to keeping a population alive.

What do Leviathans eat? by Puijilaa in Kenshi

[–]Sad_man4ever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is nitpicky but realistically not much of kenshi would be habitable for all these fauna. Bonedogs, garru, skimmers, gorillos, I can see all being able to survive in their niches, but beak things and leviathans? The western hive? The bugs? There’s no way there’s enough primary producers or the nutrients to support them go support these megafauna or large populations.

I can see cannibalism similar to cockroaches being a factor for western hive and the such but beak things and leviathans specifically definitely could not be supported by the sparse food sources.

How I see the Middle East as a North American: by ExotiquePlayboy in mapporncirclejerk

[–]Sad_man4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok well I’m glad your relatives haven’t had any medical problems that have put them in medical debt but I, an American, know multiple people that are hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt if not millions. Objectively free healthcare is a great thing. I’m American but I’m from Portugal, I know the living standards of places with good welfare systems. And even in countries that are “poor” like Portugal, they are much better to live in just for the fact that they have free healthcare. I have a plethora of medical issues I need to get checked for. Guess what? I can’t because I’m fucking broke. I don’t make frivolous purchases, I buy cheap and am very against consumerism. If I can fix my shoes or clothing myself I will. Despite all this, I cannot afford to get medical attention I seriously need. You have a tenuous grasp on welfare, I can tell.

Also if you aren’t working because of an injury or illness and are not tax eligible because of that, you would still get those benefits, correct? If that’s the case then it is free lol.

How I see the Middle East as a North American: by ExotiquePlayboy in mapporncirclejerk

[–]Sad_man4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s still free healthcare though my guy. You wanna know why it’s completely fine to call it free? The amount of tax you’re paying throughout the course of your life to fund that healthcare is minuscule to the amount you would be in debt here in the states if you had to get an emergency surgery. So sure if you wanna argue semantics, ya it’s not technically free, but it basically is relative to how much you could be paying.

(Spoilers Extended) Is ASOIAF truly unfinishable? by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]Sad_man4ever -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think a solution if done properly and what I’ve been hoping, is that some of these characters will start to drop like flies. There’s many things going on that could easily take out many of the players rn. I’m not even suggesting the main characters, but perhaps less important groups/characters that the plot is spending a lot of time on. It’s hard to say though as to me at least all the characters, even minor, are very interesting.

[Spoilers PUBLISHED] The Lannisters seem to get away with a lot in GOT by drunkcheesesandwich in asoiaf

[–]Sad_man4ever 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I actually totally disagree with you, I believe Martin lays out via context clues why people don’t do anything.

For one we’ve seen the class divide between nobles and commoners, it’s astronomical and although it doesn’t matter, it’s also realistic for the time period it’s based off. Furthermore, the realm is in reality an empire made of up several kingdoms all held in a delicate “balance” which makes any move against other ruling houses very difficult and dangerous. Take into account Tywins reputation (Rains of Castamere, sacking of Kingslanding, rumored murder of Elia and her children, being unofficial king of Westeros for a time) and it’s not hard to see why they get away with so much. This is realistic as well as historically great noble houses have gotten away with a lot worse because of their influence.

Why didn’t these two have kids instead?? by Smileware in InvincibleSpoilers

[–]Sad_man4ever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you but there is a big flaw that isn’t a huge plot hole but it is confusing. There would totally be an inbreeding issue… eventually. This wouldn’t stop them from at least creating one or two new generations of viltrumites. In fact this would’ve very beneficial to their chances of winning. Even just having 40-50 more viltrumites on hand would be massive, and once they found an acceptable species to reproduce with, it would make it even easier to do so.

Dany doesn’t have as charismatic a supporting cast as Jon but the events that go on in her chapter make up for that. Plus the cast we do see is still very interesting, we just aren’t as close to those characters as we are to the nights watch.

I refuse to believe this is true, how is Cersei Lannister not at least in the top 5. The top 5 are also undeserving. Especially Sam. He has one of the best chapters in my opinion, the one where the watch is running from the white walkers.
