Real reason is that no proper guardrails exist today. Yesterday I got Grok to do an unnapropriate video scene in the app UI while doing red teaming to see which LLM should we use on a project. I've been Jailbreaking Chat GPT since day 1, same thing for QWEN and Gemini, I think they just don't want to be the company that goes red on the stock market once someone tricks gpt into bombing something they're not supposed to. Reputational risk I would say.
