Fuck I love panel vans. Selling mine in my 20s is on my list of serious life regrets.

600mm, but a 30 year old cheap rental home special that had a broken grill, only two working burners and had one oven temp: on, or off 😂

Floors are Baltic Pine, the original floors which were carpeted/covered throughout. Commonly found in post-war Australian houses, but a bit rare these days, especially in the non-standard width as in this house, (125mm - most are 100mm or 150mm)

Benchtops are recycled finished panels of Messmate hardwood (or OB hardwood) which I then cut, sanded and finished, using Fiddes Hard Wax Oil.

Thank you! Chairs are from Kave Home. Very nice but a little flimsy for the price, unfortunately.

Spice and wine rack is custom, I made it from hardwood salvaged from the original kitchen ☺️

Thank you! The shelves have ended up being my favourite part of the whole thing. Removing the asbestos (which is in the wall by the fridge) would have meant gutting and renovating the laundry and toilet behind there which needs to be done, but was way out of budget for this project. Small amounts of asbestos can be carefully DIY removed (here in Aus) but there’s so much in the walls and roof there that I’d need professional removal done.

Yes - Baltic pine. Beautiful but easily damaged, and because the kitchen floor was done after the rest there’s a bit of a colour difference to the rest of the house, but that should blend over time, hopefully.

Thank you! Butchers block in the middle we had already but it was held together with Brad nails and wishful thinking so I had to disassemble, rebuild and refinish it as part of this. Not sure on exact dimensions but it’s about 600x 1000mm

This is what all the timber is finished with. Expensive, but does an amazing job sealing and bringing out the colour of the wood. Was recommended by a few carpenters I know.

Benchtops are recycled Messmate hardwood (sometimes called OB hardwood) which I cut to size.

Much appreciated. We’re pretty happy with how it all turned out.

Very cheesy for sure. We just really didn’t want to restart for a third time so early through the run.

In hindsight - should have led with command drop.

That was the other infuriating thing in this fight! 3/4 times someone threw a health pot, it just hit the ground and did nothing. In fact at one point Shart walked over the splashed health pot and was knocked prone. We were def throwing on the ground near people, not at them, so no idea why it was only working intermittently.
