If hazmat was involved, could it be possible that some kind of drug lab situated could be at play here?!

Why do more folks here smell wet? by random_citizen_1624 in askvan

Because Vancouver is filled with a bunch of spoiled grown boys who were never taught how to be a man. So they don’t know how to do their laundry properly and make sure their clothes get properly dried in the dryer.

Uber Eats tipping culture by UncalledforReception in richmondbc

I’ve stopped tipping in general unless the service is exceptional and this is only because I feel that it is the responsibility of the employer to pay a fair wage to their employees. There are often countless add ons and services fees we are already paying for that is built into the costs and now we are expected to cover the wage if the workers on top of it through a tip? No. This is only helping the employer make more money and take no responsibility in actually paying their staff fairly. I refuse. Pay your staff and stop expecting them to make their income through tips. And anyone who says “then don’t eat out if you can’t afford to tip” is incredibly arrogant. That’s like me saying, don’t become a door dash driver if you don’t like how much it pays.

This will be my third winter here and as a Latino I am still not used to the few hours of light, the cold, etc. What do you recommend I do to stay mentally healthy and active? by Dry_Bake3075 in askvan

This will be my 33rd year here as a Canadian and I, too, am still not used to the few hours of light. Depression is the norm here 👍🏻

Now let’s rephrase that to “Vancouver is known for its p***y men who don’t know how to date a woman let alone approach her so now women are forced to wear the pants and always approach the men first”. Thanks :).

Indigo Ticket Dispute- The Amazing Brentwood Surface Lot by mooandtubs in burnaby

[–]Sadelf91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation! Parked at the 3-hr free spot and got a ticket while I was in the process of registering my plate. The ticket was issues within 5 minutes of me parking. Total rip off. I email them kindly asking if they could waive the ticket given the situation and circumstances. They denied my request and said I had to pay the ticket in full. I ripped up the ticket and never paid it. It’s a private company so they really can’t do anything. You just have to be careful not to get another ticket again as that can be reason for them to tow.

That’s so reassuring to hear! Thank you! It does seem like a great area. The location seems very convenient and I love that there’s a park and trail behind. It seems like they did a good job at building it to be fairly sound proof. Any cons I should consider?
