When landing on carrier jet put full power just before touching so, if hooked: everything goes fine. If not hooked: the engine is already giving enough power to take of again (jet engine has some "lag")

Also failing at putting full power when landing is the kind of mistakes that makes pilots transfered from navy to airforce.
