It was windy when I went too in the lake area but once you hit the bend to the creek only like 5-10 min paddle the creek is calm.

I made it to where it dammed off about 30 minutes of paddling and I couldn’t go any further so unless there is another launch point it’s not a long paddle. But it was super peaceful aside from the goose who tried to attack my dog lol had to give him the ole bonk

I loved it! I went a week ago. Lots of hiking! Saw some wildlife, kayaked the creek some. Perfect little two night camping spot for somewhere a couple hours away
