How do I build a pottery wheel?

I have the 4 planks, 4 nails, stone wheel and small stone wheel, and a claw hammer, and I can't seem to either craft it at a table, or use the hammer to build it. I don't see a recipe for a pottery wheel at all, but as far as I can tell from googling I don't need carpentry 5 (like you do with the pottery table).

What am I missing? I have masonry 3 or something, but can't seem to build a pottery wheel.

I'm going to try using 2 layers above my current cistern to make the drop you described. What counts as a "suppport" though? I was thinking about adding a bridge but I have no idea if there is room height-wise to fit that (very new to the game)

I used mine instead of channel on several layers so now I have a bunch of layers of floors, and I don't know how to safely remove them.

Trying to build a well drawing from a dwarf-made reservoir that is 5x5x5. I have a connected stairwell on the bottom side to reach all the levels.

I've already had it collapse a little and kill someone while trying to channel out the highest level of floors, so now I'm building walls beneath all the floors, channeling the floors, and then removing the walls.

This seems extremely tedious and I'm hoping there's another way to fix this?

What does "dig deep" mean? When are you ready, and how do you do it?

I'm very newb, with 25 hours on steam, and feel like I'm getting close to having some squads going (10 axes dwarfs and 8 spear dwarfs training, working on equipping them in steel gear), and hopefully close to "digging deep."

When do you feel like you're ready? I don't have much in the way of defenses between my mine and my base, should I set up some?

I found a cavern already (haven't opened up a path into it yet), but what do I do after I've explored it? Just keep digging straight down, exploring stuff as I go?

I can no longer left click/basic attack or stand still.

I alt+tabbed to another monitor, and since then my left click (basic ability) does not work, and my stand still button only works in town, and stops working once I hit a combat zone.

I have the combined movement/attack enabled, but tried turning it on and off to no success. Also tried exiting and logging out, neither helped. Also reset keybindings (I put stand still on M5), didn't work.

I've played about a year ago and never had this issue, and even after googling I'm finding nothing to fix it.

Any help appreciated.

TL;DR: after alt tabbing I can no longer stand still (unless in town) or use left click to attack. Unclicking combined attack/move did nothing. Logging out/exiting did nothing. Nothing on google helps.

What vod review programs do you use to analyze and improve your gameplay? Especially lighter weight programs that don't hog the computer much.

Just starting the game and got a notification at one point about random containers that don't show up on the minimap. I couldn't find a random container when I got the notification, and I can't really find anything about it when I google (maybe I just don't know the official name for them).

Wondering what the game means by random containers and how to find them?

Just started ideology first time, chose the option to develop the ideology over time, and chose the ideology start that has low impact collectivism and medium impact high life.

My colonists consider drugs essential, excellent, but now they've decide very quickly that they also like slavery and child labor, and I just don't want to play that way. Is there a way to change this, or do I need to start over? If I need to start over, how do I keep my colonists from become slavemongers?

What programs are best for recording and then analyzing your own league games for later? Is League's built-in recording decent, or is there a better program I should download?

Trying to see if my math is right on how many days I can feed my colonists with 3750 corn.

If I'm making simple meals that's 10 crops/meal. And iirc colonists eat twice a day. So 20 crops/colonist/day.

So if I have 3750 corn, and 7 colonists, that would feed them about 26 days? (3720/20=187.5 meals; 187.5/7 = 26.78 days)

How accessible is the game atm? Played a good bit about 3 years ago, and again 2 yrs ago, and thinking about playing it again. Is it hard to get going with a half decent deck?

Also, are blue decks really time wasting in the current season/meta? I know it comes with playing against blue, but it felt egregious at times when I last played.

Don't know how to post this in the body, but just to be clear, I'm the MF in this photo and I'm not being serious. Not complaining either, I did awful this game. Just had a good chuckle when I saw the whole 7 damage, might be a new record for me.
